Chapter 60 has been posted.

Chapter 60? I'm going to have to set aside a week to start reading from the beginning, again.

I've always been amazed by this. I doubt I'd have the patience to go through all the work at GIFing everything (unless you've got a trick to make it easier than using say OBS). I only wish I could make something this epic ...

Fucking hell man, you aren't just getting the short end of the stick, you're being beaten with it.

Is your plan really to flush water into hell, and have the CARP marines fight them without threat of flame or disease?  If so, you are awesome, and one of the greatest DF military visionaries I've seen yet ( not that I've seen that many, or any, for that matter )

You know, channeling the HFS to the undead-ridden surface would be an interesting way to fix Roomcarnage's  foul fog zombie problem.

Or maybe just change the problem to another, far worse problem.  But doing so would answer the burning questions - do demons reanimate when slain? and does foul fog have any effect on them?

It's all just practice - it took a few story fortresses to get to this point. As for using OBS - I'm sure you could create a recording of your playing and extract the gifs with AfterEffects or something like that. My intuition is that it is tedious however it is done.

Burning questions, yes. We shall see.

I've heard Minecart Airlines Express offers nice trips to nobility. Alternative trips include a voyage over the volcano. Call 1-800-I-THE-GUINEAPIG-VOLUNTEER and book now!
My fucking armok, you broke the game.

Demons are immune to both syndromes and reanimation. Not sure how the fog is handled by the game, but my guts tell me there will be vanilla demons on the surface. Not that it's a conforting thing, tho.

I just read episode 59 (about to do 60) and it's almost soul-crushing to see that as the dwarves *finally* managed to reach the edge of the map, no caravan showed... ouch.

Looks like me might be using the Clowns to get revenge upon the Undead.
In essence, pitting the Circus against the region itself.

... would there be a way to sort of built an upward passage to channel the clowns directly on the surface, bypassing the fortress entirely?

It's quite easy, actually. I've fucked up improved like, three succession games using this idea.
