Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

I tried to use Chenkov tactics in Ultimate Apocalypse once. It... didn't work too well. I couldn't build enough conscripts to take out tanks and they die so quickly replacing them fast enough was a big issue.

The trick is to build lots of bases and set them to all pump out conscripts, but keep building tanks and stuff. The fact that the enemy stops to shoot at the unending corpse tide lets you stay on the offensive.

Building more barracks might help a bit but Chenkov tactics are conscripts only, no to very few tanks. Apparently, some battles he was in involved holding the enemy in place with guardsmen waves while artillery shelled them, another was using guardsmen as a distraction for demolition teams to blow a fortress open.

Chenkov has actually done tank spam before - he once outmassed a tyranid swarm, crushing it to death under the weight of gorillions of boots and tank treads. I think someone needs to tell Chenkov to just cool it a bit, just a bit. He needs to take a day off :C

But not his death. Conscripts' deaths.

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

Nothing, really. They're a bit too obscure to acquire easily in Belgium.

If you want good investigative stories with good action, get the Eisenhorn and Ravenor trilogies. A good look into the Inquisition and its operations, with solid characters. I'd personally say Ravenor is my favourite BL book(s).
If you want stories about Imperial Guard, you can't really go too wrong with the Gaunt's Ghosts series.
Both are by Dan Abnett, who I personally would say is the best BL author.

The Grey Knights series by Ben Counter is good if you want stories about Space Marines.

If you want to read unredeemable tripe and waste your money, get The Emperor's Mercy by Henry Zhou. So awful. So very awful.

If you want comedy, yet with good action still, Ciaphas Cain novels are fun. I'd say Eisenhorn was better than Ravenor though, should you have to choose between the two.
