The Inquisition technically has the authority to boss around basically anyone they want in the Imperium, the problem is many Inquisitors suffer mysterious cases of death when they boss around the wrong people. I recall a lot of Inquisitors investigating the Dark Angels vanish without a trace, but the others know better than to confront them about it.

Yeah this is basically it. As AGP put it, it's amazing how quickly unpopularity can get you killed in a warzone full of strangers.

I want to see a story about Inquisitor asking reborn Celestial Lions for help or something.

*scramble awake*

UH. I FIND INQUISITOR KOT INNOCENT AND IS TO BE CLEARED OF ALL CHARGES.
HE SHALL BE RETURNED TO INQUISITORIAL DUTIES WITH A TWO-RANK DROP IN HIS CLEARANCE, AFTER ONE MONTH MANDATORY PSYKER-ASSISTED INTERROGATION AND SUBSEQUENT MIND-SCRUB OF ALL INFORMATION NOW RESTRICTED TO HIS NEW LEVEL OF CLEARANCE.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Off topic point; a 40k survival horror game would be perfect. I personally vote for Warp shenanigans on a ship w/o a Geller Field.

Or cultists. Cultists are fun.

It was quite brutal actually. Who knew you could suffer major head trauma from undergarments?

There was a /tg/ thread I read a long time ago that was basically that. The idea was going hard on the deadliness of 40k and putting you in the shoes of a single un/lucky guardsman. It went pretty far in concept wise, as I remember.

Reminds me of an RTD I did way back when, but it was concluded after just a few pages.

I now want to make a forum game about a civvie surrounded by Chaos shit in a hive.

Get some *shudders slightly while still acknowledging the positives of the genre* survival game mechanics in there and add HERESY.

26 and a bit of demonic duct tape.
The trick is that you have to tape them together to make exactly three of them, of the same length, and some one in each ear and one in your mouth

Also, optional blood oaths. Optional in the sense that if you want to live, you WILL give a blood oath.

Ok, this gave me an idea. Not exactly this, though. What I have in mind is, since everyone is talking about heresy, a forum game where players control a group of Chaos cultists trying to take over a Hive (and later the planet). Don't know if players can RP individual cultists or if it's going to be just a suggestion-driven strategy game; it's late and I think I should leave such decisions to when I wake up.

Suggestion; allow for the cult to choose a good toward the beginning, each one marking a different playstyle. Tzeentch means you do everything from the hadows, NUrgle means you win over the populace, Slaanesh means you have fun with local politics and Khorne means blood for the blood god.

Also, I am now really interested in the previous idea I mentioned. Would anyone, if I took the time to run it, play that sort of game?

This recent discussion about our Chaotic affiliations reminded me of something.
Yeah...yeah, I think I might already belong to the Dark Prince.
