If were going to talk about old words, why isnt virii a word thats used?  Ive seen several WWII era medical books say it, its more fun than viruses or virus.

I think the latin singular word for extermination is exterminatio and the plural is exterminatii.

But really, this all goes to show how cool the word Exterminatus is.

You forgot the PDF.
PDF is one of the Imperium's institutions most tailored to local standards and not galactic standards

PDF units in vital worlds like Cadia, or PDF who work alongside Kriegers, or PDF who endure constant low level chaos warfare/ork warfare or something along those lines can end up pretty disciplined and battle hardened, whereas the baseline tends to be the PDF exist for quelling uprisings vs other humans, with the PDF being underequipped, undertrained and inexperienced by Imperial Guard conscript standards in most other cases. I should imagine there are even many cases where PDF are medieval levies, barbarian tribes, massive nomadic hordes, auxiliaries to arbites (which are themselves pretty militiarized)

I'm glad you've brought this up, welcome to the Virii Restoration Movement, founded and lead by that nocturnal sexy beast they call MetalSlimeHunt.

Love And Krieg, fuck.
The writefriendry that I never am sure if I hate or love. I mean, the original setup and stuff is pretty horrible Love Can Bloom shit but the spin-offs start to... kind of place a soul behind every one of those gas-masks, especially if it considers the Krieg past. It's still pretty far from what Krieg actually is, but... the idea of keeping at least some tiny shattered pieces of humanity in the Grim Darkness of Far Future... well, let's just say I wouldn't mind Regentropfen being canon.

You can't take humanity out of even the most grimdark, as long as it has time to live it shows itself

Even disposable clone units have that spark of humanity

The Emperor of Mankind, Malcador the Hero, and Ollanius Pius are the three best humans ever. I think if I had to choose, I'd say the Emperor is my favourite character in all of 40k.

That's a bit of a copout imo, given that he's by definition the very best.
