Out of curiosity, is it trolls all the way down, or religious fanatics?

It's frankly impossible to tell. Hence my comment about Poe's Law.

To my understanding it has long ago reached an equilibrium feedback loop where the remaining fanatics are fed by the trolls and the groups are now indistinguishable from eachother.

Quote from: Conserva-Poe-dia
David Copeland, a practicing homeopath and politician who passed legislation that exempted homeopathic remedies from certain forms of governmental scrutiny over their safety and effectiveness, was a democrat.
Blatantly ad homineming and not giving a shit.

Edit: Wait, no, it's not smearing homeopathy by saying that a proponent was liberal, it's smearing liberals by saying that a liberal was a proponent of homeopathy. Blatantly outskirt-conflating and not giving a shit? Doesn't have the same ring though.

If atheism is true, it is far from being good news. Learning that we're alone in the universe, that no one hears or answers our prayers, that humanity is entirely the product of random events, that we have no more intrinsic dignity than non-human and even non-animate clumps of matter, that we face certain annihilation in death, that our sufferings are ultimately pointless, that our lives and loves do not at all matter in a larger sense, that those who commit horrific evils and elude human punishment get away with their crimes scot free — all of this (and much more) is utterly tragic.[4]

Nothing matters if atheism is true.

Hahaha, argument from consequence. Also, they've finally got it! Nothing matters!

Every natural, innate desire in us corresponds to some real object that can satisfy that desire.
But there exists in us a desire which nothing in time, nothing on earth, no creature can satisfy.
Therefore, there must exist something more than time, earth and creatures, which can satisfy this desire.
This something is what people call "God" and "life with God forever."

I have a natural and innate desire to know everything. Hmm, I wonder if that will ever happen. Nope, it won't. Sorry.

How will unbelief look in the flames of hell?

There are no infidels anywhere but on earth! There are none in heaven, and there are none in hell.

Atheism is a strange thing. Even the devils never fell into that vice, for "the devils believe and tremble."

And there are some of the devil's children that have gone beyond their father in sin, but how will it look when they are forever lost?

When God's foot crushes them, they will not be able to doubt his existence!

When he tears them in pieces and there is none to deliver, then their sophistical syllogisms, their empty logic, their brags and bravadoes, will be of no avail!

Oh, that they had been wise and had not darkened their foolish hearts, but had turned unto the living God![9]

Ahahaha, this is gold. "Everybody who disagrees with me will be tortured in hell! Ahaha, it's all worth it! You'll all see!" And this doesn't seem like the writings of a madman?

On a related but not-CP note:

Quote from: The Bible

What do you mean, I'm quote-mining?
