I enjoy how the player immediately began backpedaling.

Wait is 5'9" short?

I'm 5'6" and I'm pretty sure I'm considered tall.

By /fit/ memes, any man under 5'10'' is subhuman and any man under 6'0'' is pitiable.

/fit/ have very specific standards of aesthetics, too tall and you can't make mad gains, too short and you're a manlet
The joke is that this is a 5'9" man who is pretty average by Western standards and above average by world standards, but he has become so self-conscious that he subjects himself to constant self-destructive rituals that cause failure, a failure in which he grows to link every failure to his height (and not his neurosis)

It's like girls, eating disorders and fashion media, only in anon's case he is driven into a melancholy of helplessness because there is nothing he can do to affect his height
Unable to alter his fate or compete with 6'1" chad thundercocks, Anon makes one cry for help from the mods, in a desperate attempt to overcome his crippled self-esteem

Psh, bodybuilding forums of any kinds always result in utter hilarity, something to do with guys with no self esteem working hard to please other guys with shirtless selfies (seriously, browse bodybuilding.com for a bit, I guarantee at least half a dozen laughs per 5 minutes, the forums which gave us potential pirate pants guy, no less). /fit/ is just the aglomeration of all those things + memes.

Also reminds me of that one legendary guy pissed off at /fit/. He asked them how much he should start with for his squats, being quite the obese fellow, and they told him just starting off with his body weight would be enough. He took this to mean lift as much weights as equivalent to his body weight. He also wore jeans, and flip flops, and put the weight into his back. He did not have a spotter. When the squats began hurting insanely, anon took this to be the burn /fit/izens talked about. Cue total collapse as nerves in his legs are permanently damaged and discs in his spine all slip, as he managed to do literally everything you could possibly do wrong to ensure you never walk again from what should have been a simple exercise

I am at least a little impressed that he had the willpower to lift that much even as his spine collapsed.

The tragic hero of our time, he wouldn't be remiss as a legend out of ancient grecian canon. Alas poor anon, if only you had better interpretation skills

This is literally the best and the saddest thing I've read all day.
Reminds me of that one guy who took reddit paleo-diet craze seriously and was literally living off raw meat and lard for a few days until he collapsed and nearly died from acute ketosis or something.

Still in topic.

5'6" is very short for a dude. Although not like, midget.

Of course, that's all based on geographical location. I have no idea what it's like where you are.
