The Skeleton god raises his hands and the 5 items chosen by the gods rise as well. They float into the air, crushing together and catching fire, burning like a tiny sun. Phalanges clack together with a sudden clapping motion and the ball of flame explodes outward in a blinding light.
The arena that forms out of this glow is a cramped subterranean maze of caves and tight tunnels. The walls are lined with crystals, like the inside of a geode, but each crystal is a death trap. The facets of the luminous green, blue and purple crystals are razor sharp and their points are as honed as a hypodermic needle. They project from the walls and ceiling like punji sticks, ready to impale. The ground is covered in what look like mechanical fingers, a carpet of slowly flexing metal digits, like iron anemones or clockwork grass. Spike covered worms made of thick fabric crawl everywhere, each one the size of your forearm and exuding a gooey white paste.
Into this arena, into a central cavern, the men are hurled. They appear along the outer edge of this cavern, no exits in sight save for a single harshly sloping tunnel in the center of the room.
"MAKE WHATEVER PACTS OR ALLIANCES YOU LIKE! TALK IN SECRET, GANG UP, TRICK, LIE, MANIPULATE! ASK THE CORPSES IF HONOR MATTERS TO THEM, FOR IT MATTERS NOTHING TO ME! DO WHAT THOU WILT IS THE WHOLE OF THE LAW, BUT ONLY ONE OF YOU SHALL LEAVE THAT PLACE ALIVE! HA HA HA!"
