A 5 normally causes us to take no harm even without having a mighty dwarven necklace of protection (unless previous assassination attempts are somehow non-indicative here), so you still have to wonder what exactly we were paying for there.

The miniature bolt swishes by your ear, and you yell for guards just as the would-be assassin curses under his breath.

The guards burst in aand 'messenger' is beaten up and tied down.

By the evening you receive news that the captain of the guard has commited suicide over this incident. You're then given preeliminary interrogation report by his successor:

"We've found out that the asssassin had a tiny crossbow under his long cloak, with just one bolt specially sharpened to deal the worst damage and coated in poison. It would've killed you if it reached its mark, my liege. The only information we've learned is that the assassin was working for Queen Karkhuta, apparently."

Few days later

The Advisor arrives at your bedroom.

"My liege, we continue the interrogation of the assassin, which has so far been fruitless, so we do not know if it's really Queen Karkhuta that sent him. Shall we declare war upon the Felonsines in response to this act of utmost treachery anyways?" You decide to...

A) "They tried to kill me! There's no greater insult - invade them at once!"
B) "No wise ruler declares war on incomplete information. Keep steady for now."

B We are marching on their lands in winter (or it's the end of the winter?) anyway. It's better to march when their rebellion is rising.
