Sounds worth a shot.  I'll try encasing my head in glass next time I'm going to be active outside.  Don't want to get nose cancer like my namesake.  What could go wrong?    :D

Though nigh-impossible to make, some kind of glass chainmail would work. Any translucent crystal, really. You could even grow your own crystal plate armor, and then people would look away from you immediately. Wouldn't want to mess with a guy coated in razor-sharp spikes of some mineral.

Pnx makes me realise so, so badly something. I'm so god damn pale that I think I literally can't tan and I sunburn so easily I take an umbrella outside.

Am... I at risk for skin cancer or something? Oh boy that would just be the icing on the cake of my health problems if It was a big risk.
When it comes to cancer, yes, being the burn easily type like me makes you at higher risk. But cancer strikes like lightning, even if you do go out and get sunburnt regularly you'd still probably go through your entire life without having to worry about it.

Do keep an eye out for irregularly shaped moles though, especially starfish shaped ones...

I go hiking regularly, so I'm going to have to get myself some sort of summer set up, like a foam dome backpack with water/hydrolytic solution coupled with a trendy wide brimmed hat and tonnes of SPF30+ (the highest legal in Australia)... Ahh, to be a redhead.

I'm pretty pale, but I'm also greek, so I don't really burn at all~

Lucky.

I'm an Australian of Northern European descent, so I burn like ANYTHING. Especially when we've got among the weakest parts of the ozone layer over us.

I'm an amalgamation of Western Europe, and I do not burn. I instead become slightly golden-brown, like a well cooked marshmallow. (Not quite bronze.)

Glass also eliminates any temperature aside from what comes from the sun.  Have you ever sat next to a window in a sunny winter day and it was warm?  If you sat around in a glass tank in the summer you'd melt.

Yeah, but you wouldn't char. (Much.) If you can devote enough time and energy to make a glass powersuit, you can add in coolant pipes.

I appear to be a mix of German, Scotch-Irish, English and a smattering of Kazakh, Tatar or some other Turkic peoples from the southern steppes of Russia. The latter part comes out when I when tan, because I'll turn olive and stay that way for months. Also, my eyes become more green in the summer and more brown in the winter. Go fig.

Every morning, I wake up and hope that a magical fairy has come in the night and has brought me Stephen Harper's head on a plate.

And it didn't happen this morning.

Wahh.

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.

It's raining, that horrible overcast drizzling monstrosity that makes everything wet and miserable. And this is compared to the last five days which were simply amazingly warm, sunny and cheerful :<
