You are an Angry Pawn.

You've been regarded as a human shield, a mere, insignicant part of their plans.  You've been ordered to trudge forwards slowly to your inevitable doom.  Well, not any more.

Now... it's payback time.

Tomorrow, or today, really, I'm going to open either
a)Bring your own Song
b)Vengeful 6
c)Chess Mafia
For signups.
So. Which one?

Vengeful 6! I'll in for that. I'm sorry my failed attempt at cool flavour killed VM5 and stalled the series. I wanted to try hosting again, but I never found the time or will, so I'll stop trying for now. But yes, we should always have a vengeful going, they're easy, fast, and loads of fun.

...but they are killed by lurking! Please, whoever joins, don't lurk!

'Twasn't your flavor that killed VM5

Troperrific Mafia: Mountainous roles. However, at the start of each post, you must find a fitting trope. You may/should spoiler a description of why, in case it isn't obvious. Repeat tropes result in smiting.

I vote Vengeful, but my vote isn't worth a lot since I'm too full of games ATM anyway.

I say Vengeful because we need something role-light.

Okay since there is no interest in a A mountainous vanilla paranoia themed mafia game, Could you please Move if back to planned?

And I think I am going to try moding that one king maker mafia I posted about a page or two ago...

Psycho kingmaker

After a few other games are over...

Unless there is no qualms to me starting it now...
Would Any one be interested in such a game?

Dude, I say you play a half-dozen successful games before you insist on hosting custom games. With very few exceptions, if you can't play, you can't mod. Playing tells you about balance, flavour, rhythm, days and nights, conflicts and so on. Just deciding to jump into it won't work.

I'm not being mean, I'm being honest. I won't join your games until I know you have what it takes, and you won't show you have what it takes until you've played some games or otherwise shown your mettle. Your experiences on games so far have been, frankly, disgraceful. Doesn't mean you can't improve, I'm sure you can, but you have to improve before you can host your own games... play some more BMs, learn what scumhunting is about, when to use the roles, how nights and days roll and so on. Take your time. Become good. And then host your game.

So, watching the VM debate over who can or can't join has given me an idea:

Beginner's Vengeful Mafia.

Obviously, that might be a bit too fast-paced for most noobs, and it's not exactly representative of a normal game. It does, however, have some advantages. It's small, quick, and to the point, so there's less issues with holding interest or keeping track of things. It's almost completely role/night action-free, so you don't generally get caught up in WIFOM or speculation. Combined, this also means it's overall less daunting for players thinking about joining- there's not a big investment in learning rules or playing for a long time.

Perhaps most importantly though, it delivers bite-sized results immediately- you get to see who was scum duping you, who was town making a mistake, who you were outwitting yourself about, and so on, right then when it's still fresh in your mind. I'm forced to wonder if a handful of VBMs might be more instructive, at least for the very basics, than a single, full-length BM.

Thoughts?

I would fully support there being a beginner's
vengeful mafia and would totally join it.
