Hi,

Just popping up to say hello. I've been reading from start and have finally caught up to "realtime".
(I've actually just finished reading Headshoot, Syrupleaf, Battlefailed and Failcannon so am kinda dreaming in DF, not good).

Anyway, amazing fort/story. I can't believe Failcannon is still chugging along. Pulling out of that cascade was awesome.

Welcome to the crowd. Also, don't forget to read Boatmurdered. You can find it in the Hall of Legends or on lparchive.

The only thing that happened in general was the death of 71% of the fort, and that wasn't really worth mentioning.

Yeah I read boatmurdered a few years back. It still remains genuinely funny.

Also was exploring one of the old fcannon saves - trying to actually form an image of how everywhere links up is near impossible.
It's glorious.

I also released the ettin just because and Glacial one-shotted it (instant bisection).

An "L: view links" command would be so useful.
Although it would remove most of the !!fun!!.

If you could simply see how things work without an overly complicated system of notes, trial-and-error, and flaming dwarves, then it just wouldn't be DF anymore.

I guess I'll just pull some levers at random.

You have been warned...

Pull the lever! The doubt regarding what it does will drive you (more) mad if you don't.

Central red lever in the room of levers, I believe?

Edit: Oh... too late.

Pulling levers at random can't possibly be a bad thing though.

Hey, it resulted in letting goblins into the fort, releasing trolls, and unleashing a pissed-off, danger-room-trained Ettin on my Overseer, which miraculously went on to save the fortress from the aforementioned goblins and trolls.  I am convinced that any problems that arise from pulling random levers can be solved by pulling other random levers.

And ending with five dwarves left alive.
