... of all the wrong levers to pull... that was definitely the most hilarious.

Catalyst has no job?  She ought to be training.  Forever.  Locked safely away in that tower where she can't hurt any of the other dwarves.

And one day, she'll break out, strong and Legendary in all combat disciplines to kill the fortress single-handedly in the name of the rebels.

Which is why I disabled the training range. Seriously, I may be crazy, but not suicidal!

Well that's no fun!  That's downright sensible!  Oh, can i see my new Aussie Dorf?  Also, having re-read your update, how exactly does woodcutting kill a migrant?

So you're the BORING kind of crazy? :P  She'd never break out - I even deconstructed the stairs.  Train her up, sacrifice her to the next goblin siege or FB and see how she does!  But anyway, your fort, your rules.  Already enjoying your updates and looking forward to the next one.

Edit: So any ideas for re-assigning the crazy psychic former Overseer?  If you're just going to starve her at least make her dig out of the fortress walls and wall herself outside so she doesn't eat up the reserve rations and take years to die.

Actually I didn't know she was trapped in there and wanted her to do something actually, you know, useful, like pulling some frigging levers.

I'll re-enable her training once I  get back to playing.

Failcannon, now with its own psychopathic dwarf computer in a box.

All those levers getting you down?
Green and eldrich horrors escaping from cages?
have to run to close the drawbridge?
Never fear! with the all new dwarfputer this newfangled device will fufill all your lever pulling needs.

Disclaimer: We are not responsable for any failed moods, pyschopathic escapees or any other accidents incured during the operation and maintanence of the dorfputer that dosent comform to standard guidelines.

Enjoy!

I believe she was locked in there to stop her from spreading the demonic mind-plague which killed 95% of our population in the previous turn.

... You know that she'll kill any dwarves she sees and restart the loyalty cascade if you let her out, right?

By my calculations... 49 at beginning... 10 migrants... 5 at the end... actually just over 90% :P

Oh, that's much better now. Only 90% of our former population is dead?

The only thing that happened in general was the death of 71% of the fort, and that wasn't really worth mentioning.
