Try checking around thrift stores and whatnot? They occasionally have bikes or bike parts on the cheap. Might not be in the absolute best condition, but they're usually still pretty functional, from what I recall.

Craigslist, too. I got my bike for $45 in a Craigslist deal and it's coming up on its second anniversary of use. (Mind you, there are some things wrong with it that I would ideally fix, but it would cost more to fix them than the bike is worth.)

Eleven national languages allows for a whole new scope of confusing wrong numbers. I could have sworn this guy was Afrikaans, but then he asked me for a Zulu or Xhosa name fluently, and then swore in English when I told him he had the wrong number.

I was browsing some threads down here in GD and spotted a couple vague references to a "Pathos" character. Given that A) I very rarely visit the lower boards and B) I'm not a long-time Bay12 member, this confused me.

Pathos was a person who would make alt accounts, often after being banned. As I recall, he occasionally had conversations with himself as an attempt to protect the ruse. It became a joke that everybody on the boards was Pathos, circling in one giant sham of a community.
