And status effects and debuffs some bugfixes and better inventory management.

I haven't heard if anything new will require a new world gen, anyone heard one way or the other?

Well, if they're still adding the anti-corruption biome thing (have they said anything about it recently?), then you should probably make a new one just for that. Also, they recommend making a new character, so I'd make a new world to go with that new character.

Yeah, after I posted that I went to the Terraria Online forums and read Blue's log. It seems some Dungeon terrain is improved, so I will regen and make anew char. So much for my current 1/3 finished house. I guess I should just delete both my old toons and old worlds while I'm at it eh?

On the note of the anti corruption biome that's coming in patch 1.10 I think they said, but I guess it might've been merged. I'm personally not counting on it.

I think most of the new adventure content (incl. biomes) will be later on. Some dev commentary said the balancing in this patch was needed to make that content work properly later. The comment about that was it'd be called patch 1.1 because it advanced the game in a huge way, like an expansion.

EDIT: 1.0.6 confirmed for Tuesday , 8/9/11.

Steam just updated my Terraria. I'm guessing this is it.
