1b.Except in cases covered by 1a, accidentally triggering the WoF because of a voodoo demon does not mean people should stay and fight the thing. Magic mirror or retreat, or you get banned.

So, basically, if you want to play a hardcore character, you're fucked?

If you don't fight back, you die.
If you run away from it until it reaches the end of the Underworld, you die.
If you use the Magic Mirror, you die.

I understand the reason for the rule being there, but not being able to get away from the WoF except by dying is really, really bad.

If you're smart, your money will be in your piggy banks anyway so dying from the WoF if triggered by accident isn't a big deal.

And then a hardmode character is Fucked x2 Combo because piggy banks are unique to each character, so that money (and anything else stuffed in there) is lost for good anyway.

I'm not following you. If you put stuff in a piggy bank you can pull it out of any other piggy bank, its a unique bank for your character.

You aren't. The loot is a bonus, the death is the trigger. And piggy banks aren't unique per character, if you buy two, you can place both somewhere and have teleporting items between the two.
