Well with mediumcore you keep your accumulated hp/mana I believe.

I just made a backup of my character without any items or upgrades, so when I die I can just copy it to save the bother of redoing the clothes every time.

And lagskeletons keep killing me, so it's paid off.

Btw, there are some waterleaves in the pond just in front of my place under the spawn, and someone dug a mushroom farm that I expanded one or two screens under my place.

I'm currently incarnating Urist Meta VIII. I really should stop dying so much.

I came back to Terraria after almost a year long haitus, only to find that once I re-installed it with the newest version (1.1.2), the game lagggggggs, even when using the bare minimum.  No background, smallest window size, doesn't matter. I get less than 9FPS.  I've tried changing the video settings in-game, I've tried editing them in the Nvidia Control Panel, I've un-installed and re-installed, and still the game lags atrociously; and it used to run just fine.

Any ideas that could be useful? According to my tools, the game doesn't even use 20% of my 4GBs of RAM, and yet it maxes out my GPU clock on a Nvidia GTX 465, which runs Skyrim in HIGH.  This is just absurd.
