So I mined three hearts in hte red place, I got scared as fuck when "brain of cuthulu " came in and whooped my ass, did got A neat gun.
The gun is kinda nice. The Crimson rod, on the other hand. Wow. All I can say is, I have a horribly busted one and its has potential to beat out pretty much all midgame magic weapons of before and possibly some of the hardmode ones with its utility and DPS.

It has five mouths full of treacherous teeth, enormous clear wings, and ferocious blue eyes. Beware its icy breath! Ustxu was associated with oceans, glaciers, boats, and murder.

Would anyone feel bad if I brought my current char with wooden armor and iron-to-platinum tier weapons and tools?
Or is that too advanced for that?

(I don't remember playing MP Terraria for literallly over two years, so sorry if I make any terrible mistakes that I'm inevitably going to make)
Go ahead and bring em
So, is the server updated or not?

I can't tell if you mean 'bring them in now' or 'bring them in once I get back and sort it out'
Its up

There's some special wall backdrop tiles that spawn web and spiders can crawl all over it.

Anyone figured out how to turn off enemy health bars? It's a stated feature but I don't see it in the settings options.

Forsaken, is the crimson server up, and, if so, can you say the IP in the other server? A few of us want to go on it, but can't due to not knowing the IP.
The IP is the same...

Still kind of irritates me I can't bind my thumb buttons to any controls. IT'S 2013 FFS.

True dat.  I use a utility called X-Mouse Button Control.  I mostly use it to remap thumb-up and thumb-down to scroll instead of go forward/back through browser history.  But it can bind just about anything to any button, and can do that globally or for a specific program or a specific window title.

Or you can roll your own, using a macro program such as AutoHotkey.  AutoHotkey's macro language sucks but it's free, powerful, fairly well-documented, and popular enough that you can find scripts via Google.  I wrote my Terraria autoclicker in AutoHotkey's language.  It can definitely map keys to mouse buttons, including doing context-sensitive stuff.

But hey, think about what game this site is for.  You wanna talk 1980's EGA text-mode interface?

I said I wasn't reading the thread, but I guess I am after all.  I'm trying to skim over spoilers... I do appreciate those who are hiding them behind spoiler tags.  But no sweat if you don't.
