It stopped a day ago by my count, and then everyone was to embarresed to say anything else.

Thats right everyone. I found time to make a post in the thread rather then just watch it on my second screen with an auto refresh plugin. Probabley no update until tommorow though, still got to do a bit more of that important work. I've come to a decision that since it has taken 55 updates and no real progress has been made on the village i'm going to put in a timeskip sometime in the future. This timeskip will probabley take place after a certain event has happened. Then i'll come up with some system for letting you guys decide what industries to focus on. I'm thinking maybe i'll give you a number for the population and then you guys will pick the job distribution for them. Then i'll place buildings and such accordingly.

On the note of houses, I was thinking this is more an european-type area so wattle and dorb is fine with me but I am less comfortable with the mud idea. This is mostly because in my expirience you don't see many houses like the ones you posted in that area of the world. That sort of points to there being some problem with those sorts of houses in that climate (otherwise the locals might have been using them). Of course I don't really go around looking up building styles in my spare time so theres a good chance i'm wrong.

Just a quick question, what age are we in? It seems to me we are in a medieval age, with swords and such.

Eh.. There are several types of fantasy, ranging from typical realistic medieval fantasy to what you just mentioned.
I think this is somewhere in between.

I'm used to having 'typical fantasy' be modern age(Usually about WWII to present). Literally.

Just to clarify this is medieval-ish. No guns, handcannons or simular things. Steam engines for industry are alright i guess but no automatons or anything to outlandish. There is already magic in the adventure in the form of the night creatures and such so there may be magic users but i'm probabley not going to have it be a common thing(it sorta ruins magic if everyone can do it).

True. Of course, it might also be possible to gain new technology but no so much technology that it pretty much makes the game too easy, maybe?

I'll just go on a case by case basis for these things. windmills are fine and townclocks should be although some guy with no expirence shouldn't be able to cobble together a clock(or steam engine for that matter) so you'd probabley have to hire a specialist for those sorts of things.
