Corral the genetically impure children in a different room with beds food and stuff. Let them grow into adulthood then send them to prove themselves against the Ice wolves to prove their worth.

That's the plan, I wonder how many slabs I'll have to engrave;P

For the sake of simplicity,
P.A = Physical attributes (of importance)
P.S = Physical strengths
P.W = Physical weaknesses

M.S = Mental strengths
M.S = Mental weaknesses

Also, no longer recording weak stock dwarves on the census. TOO MUCH PAPERWORK, TOO LITTLE BREEDING.

Awesome, will you do total segregation of the specimens once they have children, a la Headshoots?

Wait, if the only female is of the ice wolf fodder stock, you obviously can't partner her with either of the ( surprisingly powerful ) males.  I suggest wait for some migrants.

Nobody said it was going to be easy.

But I think somebody in the mountainhome already tried an experiment like this since all three dwarves have amethyst eyes.

...

Something's happened, 'cus my game didn't save.

CRAP.

Back to square 1, 4 very miserable dwarves, well at least I know where to build the farm, and I at least won't underestimate the white wolves this time.

And hey, still no reclaim;P

[Does it count as save scum if you accidentally revert to a save where you are much worse off?]
Deleted all the parts of my posts that no longer apply, plus I think the amethyst eyes thing is pretty cool, maybe a fortress genetics thing?

I think someone had made females breeding stock by adding [PET] to them, making it so relationships are not needed to have children.But then again, if you can pair two powerful dwarven male and female all their children should be powerful?

No mighty/flawless women yet, so I'm just going to have to breed the the above average with the above average, and keep the farmers away from my Uber stock.

Not enough dwarves to start sacrificing to the snow though :[

First couple migrated to my fort, and sure enough, the husband was pretty good stock in the physical department, but the wife had NO WEAKNESSES AT ALL.
Not even mental.
Though she was incredibly skinny, I'm sure she can fatten up on white wolf meat ;]

Wait, making the entire female caste pets? Did that work?

Oh and sorry for the double post.
To make up, here's a picture of my first dwarf doing the trial by ice.

Wouldn't making the caste [PET] mean they will just mate with random dwarves and loss of control over the breeding process ?

i like this fort.

And I like you! £:

Trading caravan rescued the brewer I chucked into the arctic, I guess since he survived for so long (literally a dozen pages of him dodging the wolves - even ripping the tail off of one), I think he's earned his stay.

NOW OFF TO THE FARMS!! MUAH HA HUAH HA HA HA

Oh and here's the igloo - The above ground ice fort which should now be sheltering my dwarves from the worse of the cold and the damn blizzards....

I would think adding the [PET] tag to a creature in the dwarf caste system would make things very odd, like being able to buy them on embark/trade them off.
Plus, I think they would either randomly breed, not breed at all or... Wierd things would happen.
Maybe someone should test this out ;P

Oh and I am now dorfing dorves ;]
Though, I have no idea who would want to join, just to be forced to breed and create insane... Dedicated murdwurarwves

Cruel, but epic. Spartans are awesome by themselves, but Dwarven Spartans - booyah. >) I'm looking forwards to seeing how this turns out.

Exactly. So you'll need just cut every lesser dwarf to avoid their breeding, and who'll provide food and everything? No, better mate them after marriage. Long, but more reliable.

So, you have a couple to start from. You'll need at least one couple to get third generation... I feel that straight incest is forbidden, but not sure about grandchildren of same person... Never had more than two adult generations in my fortresses

EDIT: dorf me as chief medic, if you haven't claim him for yourself.

I'll take Inod. Rename her Arachnia and give the custom job of Broodmother.

Got a couple, PRETTY awesome couple too;]

And yeah, not only would having every female being a pet cause them to uncontrollably spew babies everywhere, how would the game decide whether or not the babies would be pets or citizens? Would the mothers carelessly drop them and walk away?  AND OH GOD THINK OF THE THREADS PEOPLE WOULD MAKE ABOUT THIS.
Chief !!SCIENCE!! dwarf is claimed by me, but if you want, you can have Olin Sabretrotted, one of the starting 7 who murdered two of the others with a pick axe :P

It will be done... MUAH HA HA
