...

In other news, i scribbled something down while waiting at the psychologists place.

Turned out better than most landscapes i've drawn, despite it being on an A6 sized page of paper and done with a small stump of graphite. :v

Everything looks better when you work with pointlessly high resolutions.
Well, it depends if 1400x1400 is high res to you, that is. ;P
128x128 is HD for me :P

I am completely unfamiliar with Gun Francisco but it's a quality art style to be sure. Much approval.

It's a name for a post-apocalyptic setting I am working on, which has humans split into two sides (one using magic aka the Northmen and one using technology aka the Southfolk) fighting  off against each other and the hordes of mutant hybrids (Hybridae).

And thanks to all for the comments! Less than three y'all.

20 minute scribble of a ship that appears in my RTD. Done with photoshop, a mouse, and a few fancy layer shenanigans.

I intentionally made no effort to make it pretty, but it's not bad. xD

(also scribbling is fun)

edit: concept art
I made the stars using colorful noise, then desaturating all the colors :D

Eh... I haven't been able to draw in years. I consider it a positive... I can draw to concentrate my senses, which is a more common problem with me than you might expect. Maybe next time I feel myself going, I can just draw instead.
Ah, well in that case, consider my comment withdrawn! Drawing is awesome, then.

Those are some pretty good robots. I should probably play that game at some point.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Does anyone have any tips on drawing pupils of eyes slanted on the far side of the head, with large anime-ish eyes? I think I'm close, but it still seems off. Most people seem to just draw them like they're flat.

Well, technically pupils are actually slightly sunken in comparison to the iris (which is also true for "vertical" pupils), so it's honestly not a bad approximation to make it flat. You could probably do some fancy shading hijinks to make it look deeper, though i'm not quite sure how.

...For some reason I've a feeling we may share the same...feelings when we get into drawing and the drawing flips out as a ++quality work ._.
Also I missed your drawings :P I do remember them despite being months back.
...And I'm unsure but your drawings were not necessarily years back but they...err, they were drawn when you were in a workplace before?

Also nice eyes guys :D

Thanks, Shook. I ended up leaving the furthermost pupil as thinner.

Five days to draw, including three days of procrastinating. Have a cute kobold.

There's some pretty awesome stuff on this thread!

Anyway, here's something that I've been working on. Still WIP.

It looks a his left eye is missing the brow, especially when you compare it to how you shaded the part above the right eye to suggest the brow there. Eyes are probably harder than hands because you can't obscure them as easily without changing the whole feeling of the picture. That why the majority of what I draw/ create is focused on the clothing over facial features.

Dwarves passing by get good thoughts from the mist of water and exploding felines.
Anyone of the equivalent to the royal bloodline in a nomadic group would have a sun tattooed on their hand, or a scrotum on their forehead (it's a little-known fact that fraternities are based off of long-forgotten tribes).

Whoops, thanks. Eyebrow added and some stray pixels fixed.
