heres some pixel art (accidental cause i forgot to resize my picture)

I've noticed something pretty neat though; everyone in here has a very distinct doodling style. I know y'alls probably noticed that 20 years ago, but i didn't really think about it before now. Jopax doodles in a painty style (usually), i doodle with scratchy cartoony lines (usually), jetex seems to favour more realistic proportions and a pencil... It's quite fancy, really. It shows pretty darn well how diverse art can be, even within the same medium. :o
and i have no definitive style but its always weird :D (almost always)

Also don't ever forget to experiment every now and then, new styles, new approaches, get yourself out of your comfort zone. While it's scary as fuck it's great for inspiration and generally getting better.

Also I think I'm finally happy enough with this to post it here. Still largely unfinished tho, a special birthday present for a friend :D

I keep noticing that the gun looks kind of misshapen. :u

Yeah, the front half looks like it has been twisted a bit clockwise to the eyes of the viewer.

I'll continue making this more specific by saying that it looks rotated because it appears that the left hand edges on the front bit and the stock are aligned, while the front bit is a thinner rectangle.

Dwarves passing by get good thoughts from the mist of water and exploding felines.
Anyone of the equivalent to the royal bloodline in a nomadic group would have a sun tattooed on their hand, or a scrotum on their forehead (it's a little-known fact that fraternities are based off of long-forgotten tribes).

Yeah it is, I only lassoed the outer edges while the inside is just roughed out so I know the general forms. The issue is that the stock gets wider towards the end for some reason which makes it look weird. Thanks for the heads up ^^

@defeeca wierd is deffo a style, just look at Beksinski, that guy was weird incarnate (also large parts nightmare fuel) and he was amazing at it.

i think that gun is bit unpractical i mean if you tuck it in your armpit your aiming almost downwards everything else is pretty great on that pic :D
also its fun to draw weird stuff :D especially since i have no idea what im drawing until its finished.
for content heres bit more finished version on that previous art piece

Also, should've mentioned this earlier but it's not an actual gun. More of a spraygun, that sprays paint. Since she's kind of a painter herself (and an amazing one at that) it's a bit of playing on my part with references and whatnot ^^

Let me tell you, listening to The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth's OST while drawing leads to...interesting drawings.

I am in a slightly peculiar mood right now. I did think clearly enough to try giving a vast sense of scale, though. :v

That red floating rocks thingy looks very vast, Shook. I like it; it seems lonely.

L-limbs? What sorcery is this?! They're some pretty good limbs, too.

[Limbed-art]
Hey, that gives me an idea for what sort of thing to draw with my next fur style experimentation test.

It worked a bit better in my quick mock-up sketch thing that used more than two colors. I guess it's decent-ish, and it does look fluffy, but I thing I prefer the soft and clean look blur gives.

I'm making a hexagonal tileset for a forum game I hope to run soon, and I just finished the first tile, the forest. As usual, advice on pixel-artistry/tileset-making would be great.

Native resolution:

Enlarged to show pixeling:

Tessellated on a hex-grid:

The tileset is taking inspiration from Tolkien's maps and GlyphGryph's Battle for Bay12.

If you want advice specialised towards pixel art, the Lair of The Pixel Artist thread should help.

Asie from that, it looks nice. I certainly can't think of any improvements.

The trees seem too dense for me.

And maybe it's just me but they look like giant broccolis with their green trunks. :u

The shading's noice though.

E: Just gonna put this here.
