Say what you like, mang. I bought a box of 'em.

Currently converting them into possessed marines and warp talons for my 1000sons army.
Woot.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Hmmm... That's made me remember one space game with massed fleets I played long ago; vague yes, but the vagueness makes the memory worse.

I am hype. Imperial Navy needs some more love.

In case people hadn't seen it, here's a gameplay video from the new Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor game...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKhFASxHiqI

The form it's taking is a isometric angle action RPG, ala...Diablo.

And to be honest, it looks a lot like Van Helsing, the other action RPG they just made. Cue standing there pumping guys full of bolter rounds until they finally die. Not terribly impressed atm.

No, I'm not impressed at all.

All they need to do is make mass effect: 40k edition and drown in money forever. If they could do something like that... an Inquisitor would be perfect for that.

Just being another supertough dude hacking his way through chaos doesn't really give Inquisitors justice, I don't think.

...No more hype. I played Diablo 3, and traded it in not even 2 days later because of how completely boring it was. This looks like that with a Warhammer 40k coat of paint.

It really does seem like a missed opportunity. There's so much more to being Inquisition than just strapping on power armor and going solo into the heart of the enemy and wasting people like a Space Marine.

That said, there's going to be several modes of play. This is from the campaign/story mode. But there will also be an open world mode where you can do random missions, drive vehicles, have a fortress, all that jazz.

Yea, didn't really impress me either. I thought they'd do something interesting with it even though they would inevitably use van helsing as a basis for the gameplay. Turns out they kinda just ported the setting into the van helsing gameplay, without adding much of anything apart from it, thus far at least.
