Oh yeah, ours did similar. Lie down, fall asleep and barely breathe or move. As she got old we started having to stop to check she was still breathing, just in case she'd died in her sleep.

We had a dog that used to do that, almost everyday I'd have to poke him to make sure he was just sleeping and wasn't actually dead.

Ours does that too sometimes. I feel like it's probably a universal experience for dog owners.
