Eh, when it comes to writing aides it's that or booze. Or sleep deprivation. Doesn't really matter so long as you make sure to edit sober.

I've heard a writer says he makes sure to edit as drunk/high as he possibly can and be stone-cold sober when actually writing it.
... Never read his books, though.

That does sound sensible: Working off something existing is easy while high, but creating from scratch is much harder than when sober.

Ok, so I was reading an article about the execution of Benito Mussolini and how his corpse was hung on a meathook from the roof of an Esso gas station, and the image popped into my head of a newton's cradle made out of the bodies of dead dictators.
