I remember those assholes. They were very self-reightous.
Now I know why Xantalos wants to destroy everything so much. Xan was abused by Arch-angels as a child.

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

The problem with destroying everything is that I'm part of everything, and I'd very much like not to be destroyed.

Could you settle for destroying...I dunno, half of everything?

As gratifying as your sympathy is, I'm actually just rather orked at them for being so ... arrogant. Even when I devoured their god, they just kept on chanting those psalms.

The thing about any gods actually appearing in the first place is that there would be people who would want to study them. Find out how they work.

Use the divine power ‼science gave them for death and destruction the betterment of mankind.

It would be possible, since as everyone knows

Every time I hear someone pushing abstinence sex ed, I can't help but wonder if they even remember being a teenager.

"Okay kids, all you need to do to be safe is not have sex."

Yeah, like that's going to work.

It will for asexuals. Then again, we don't need such tips in the first place.

I don't really see what evolution has to do with variations in usage between different speakers of a given language.
Sorry, I've only been reading The Origin of Species in Finnish, I don't know the correct word for "muunnos".

Hm. After a bit more time looking into it, did you mean 'variationalist'? I think yes, from the context. Still doesn't really give me much about what point you're trying to make, sort of like saying that the Laws of Thermodynamics are laws of physics.

Anyhow, on topic, had to listen to an echo-chamber full of fundies and less crazy true-believers talk about how the existence of an all-knowing, all-powerful god-creator wouldn't preclude free will because we wouldn't know that we didn't have free will.  ::)

Probably because, The moon landing was faked! Everyone knows the moon is simply a hologram!
