You're trapped in a storeroom. It's somewhat large, with dirty tiled floors and rusted metal walls. There's only one door, but it won't open. Along the walls, in the middle of one half of the floor, shelves, each holding a few cardboard boxes in varying states of decay, stand. In the other half, the one with the door and the clearing, there is one toppled shelf with a clean footlocker in one of the holes. There are no windows, but you're probably near the surface, as you can hear gunshots and animals. You have no idea how you got here, remembering almost nothing aside from simple things like breathing, seeing, eating, drinking, sleeping, the English language, and fighting, but you know you need to get out. It might be the alarm going off outside the room that's giving you that idea.
It's dark in there. Each of you can barely make out the most basic details of eachother, limited to gender and species.
Human: Please tell me you don't need a description. The only thing I should need to tell you is that the other species evolved from humans. They are also some of the best tacticians and have the shortest pregnancies
Iloial: An Iloial (plural is also Iloial) is a plantperson. Their skin is composed of leaves and their hair is made up of petals based on their caste. Their eyes are entirely some shade of a very light blue. Their teeth are wood-like and sharp, built for ripping flesh and bone apart for consumption. They stand at the height of a human, but slightly more slender. They don't drown easy, nor do they feel as much pain as the other species, but burning them is slightly more effective, freezing or drying them out is even more effective, and pollution and radiation really hate their bodies. They fare the best in wet, humid environments with plenty of wildlife to hunt.
Their castes are split into four basic groups, the Sunflowers, Irises, Lotuses, and Roses.
The Sunflowers are the basic laborer, with rounded, yellow petals. They are the shortest-lived, generally only making it to about 100, a shorter lifespan even than the humans, who often make it to 150 years old. They need the second-most amount of food and are good at acquiring it, along with other natural resources. Many of them are illiterate. They are the most common, making up about 35% of the species. 20 of every thirty-five them are female, and the remaining 15 are male.
The Irises are the builders, artisans, and very low nobility. Their petals are wavy and blue in color. They have a relative talent for fixing and making things, from writing a book to fixing a broken gun to building a shelter. They live about as long as a human, longer if they live in a good environment for them. The caste is 30% of the population, with the male and female genders being split evenly in the caste.
The Lotuses are the warrior and military noble cast, making up another 30% of the population, females being 17 of every thirty of them. Their petals are leaf-shaped and white. Their lifespan is between that of a Sunflower and an Iris, but even then they don't usually live that long, due to being almost constantly engaged in combat, whether in practice with their own or against enemies. They have a natural drive for fighting and aggression and need the most food.
Finally, there are the Roses, the nobility caste. They have red, curly petals, are all female, and make up the remaining 5% of the population. They possess a natural ability for leadership and a desire to be in charge to fit with it. They live such long lives that they're practically immortal, but chances are that something'll get them dead before that.
Demonblood: A Demonblood has four arms, a pair of horns, and a height of about eight feet. Their height leaves them with breathing problems. They need a lot of food in order to stay alive, as their metabolisms work fast. They possess a two sets of of skin tones, the less common being the entire grayscale range and the more common being Caucasian, getting darker to the maroons, and, in extreme cases, a plum color. Their hair is pretty much the same, but with browns. Their horns are usually ivory-colored, but every so often, one is born with a maroon set of horns. The rare horns do absolutely nothing besides look good. Their left eye is always a bright color, while their right is always darker. Like the Rose Iloial, they have a ridiculously long natural lifespan, but are especially prone to insanity, even at a young age. They also get angry very easily, and, when very angered, are likely to go on a bloody, violent rampage. Their memories are short but they're easily the most creative of the species.
When in their early twenties, they go through a growth process that takes them from human height to their tall height. This often is a lethal process, and when it isn't it's painful. Despite their size, they do well underground, where it's dark, as they are nocturnal in nature.
Nyelrrithic: A Nyelrrithic is a catperson, with a set of cat ears and human ears. They have good hearing and eyesight, but are short, have lifespans similar to that of a Sunflower Iloial, and are often emotionless. Their hair is usually brown and they often have green eyes. Their shoulders are broad, their nose bridges and lips are thin, their eyes are slanted and slit-like, and their skilled fingers are a bit long and slender. They are completely incapable of growing facial hair. They are physically flexible and can move quietly. They have great memory, and often remember who's wronged them more than who's been a good friend to them.
