Alternately, we should try to become a proper queen with decorum and court manners and flattery and ah, who am I kidding?  We should just be glad we didn't throw Duchess Ursul in prison just so we'd have someone to gloat at.  ^_^

Wait wait what if SHE was the one who assassinated us!?

!!!

No that doesn't make any sense, nevermind.

Right, so we're going to start fresh, right?

Plan: Focus fire yielding and get all the damn poise and stuff we can!

We are going to be THE MOST REGAL PRINCESS EVER. LONG LIVE OUR QUEENLINESS!

I think our main problem seems to have been we took TOO LONG to become an awesome magespy. If we had just started killing people significantly earlier, I think we would have been fine!

So next run, I think we should focus on killing people as quickly and effectively as possible.
Clearly if something went wrong, it's because we weren't killing enough people quickly enough to stop it.

Anyway, here are her final stats, moods, and outfit:

I require some time to arrange some things, and I think it'd be best to give everyone a chance to see what has happened without knowing that it's Week 1 again, so there will be an intermission before Queen Axespendable's replacement seizes the reins.

Actually, maybe we should go full on anti-magic on our next run?

Screw wizards! Screw magic! We will be a TRUE battle queen! Maybe we'll even have some social skills, but not too many!

Kill EVERYONE that might possibly be a threat to us, mwahahah!

This is the stupidest death.

And yet it has me laughing. I never knew Elodie could force herself to eat the chocolate (I always choose to put away the obvious poison).

There goes my original bet that Axependable would kill herself trying to win a naval battle.

Trade and Production would have worked to overcome the poison thing, right?

Next time around let's do Military, Intrigue, Economics, Divination (apparently kind of important) and Royal Demeanor.

And kill EVERYONE.

We will be the perfect mix of cruelty and practicality, and will rule by FEAR.

Yeah, the chocolates are the most humiliating death, not least because of how arbitrary they are (You didn't take certain classes? Obviously you're a complete idiot who eats random things they get in the mail! ;.;). I won't give away any of the others, though.

Also, take that the whole "We killed all the internal threat, we don't need intrigue skills" crowd! You killed Axpendable!
To be fair, precisely zero intrigue skills would have helped us at that point.  Dogs, Production + Trade, Court Manners, and Poison were the checks made immediately before the chocolates.
I would imagine that we could probably have dodged the poison by finding out who was going to send them/taking other intrigue steps early in the story to deal with it.

Also I'm totally voting for priestess divination for our next run. I mean how can being able to see the future be bad?

...That was dumb.

To the player, the chocolate is obviously poison, you should at least have the option to not eat it, which would offend that duchy or somesuch.

Ah well.

So we won expandable princess?

Well played.

Ah well.
It's worse than that, it was literally sent from (allegedly) a trading company.

I'm nearly certain that you can't avert the poisoned chocolates ahead of time. Either you have one of the skills that tips you off, you have poison training, or you die.

I second this plan. Being able to actually talk our way out of a paper bag should be interesting. Obviously with a side of Divination and the like for fun.

So, brilliant composed Elodie, as opposed to Axspendable? I can dig it.
