That's quite a lot. If you were a little better, you might not have had to force it like you will now.

You don't have a lot of magic left... a little less than half. Healing your leg would probably cost you a decent chunk of that too (+250C)...

The Witch slams into the wall beside you, shocking you out of your reverie. You notice a small scratch on it's eye as it rears away; maybe you did more damage than you thought. It comes back again for a second pass...

And hits the wall again so far away from you that you fail to hit it with your flail.
...Did you give it brain damage or something?

It rears back and tries once more to hit you, and you lash out. This time it's headed right towards you...

The Witch slams you up against the wall, disturbingly human mouth gnawing uselessly at you. Your bones creak under the pressure, but you manage to get your flail free.

The flail dances around the edge of the porcelain face and slams into the witches body as you twist out of the way. The witch rolls onto its back, crying in pain.

You jump ahead, ready to press your advantage. The head of your flail spins so fast you hear a soft whir, and it whistles as you swing it.

You promptly land flat on your face. Your stumped leg screams with pain - oh no wait that's you.

Because you tried to stand on it.

You're such an idiot.

The witch returns to its feet around the same time you do.

Your vision suddenly seems to clear, and time almost slows, as you notice a shock of blonde hair twirl behind a geometric piece of scenery, followed by a bright white streak highlighted by shimmering azure.

It can't be...

With a shock you again notice the witch launching itself after you, but as whatever time distortion you were experiencing (Adrenaline?) fades away, you notice it's missing you yet again.

You step to the side and peer at where Helga was. But you can't see her any more.

You lash out, but miss by a wide margin, your flail not even having enough power to do any harm, even if you had hit.

Stumbling back, your head seems to swim underwater. Blood dribbles out of your leg, and it feels as if your lungs are on fire.

At the very least, the witch seems to leave you alone, instead turning and bounding off behind some scenery.

You slump against a geometry object, the cool, supernaturally smooth, oddly opaque glass firm and unyielding. You're panting, unable to do anything but focus on your leg.

Your flesh is still stitching back together when you hear Helga scream.


Immediately you drop into a flatout run, newborn muscles shrieking without skin. If you were to concentrate on the knitted muscle under your leg, the pink heaving flesh exposed to the labyrinths air, you would throw up, but all you can think about is getting to Helga.

You aren't fast enough.

[ROLL : 12 : FAILURE]

Tsubey's eyes glint a malicious sapphire as Helga falls backwards, pursued by the witch. You hurl a flail at it, but you miss by a wide margin. Helga opens her mouth as if to scream, but instead...

"Ya khotet'...!"
