Maybe the enemy is not a dark spirit.

[Aaron: 6, Darkfallen: 3] Without waiting for the dark spirit to gain better visibility of surroundings, Aaron charged, stabbing darkfallen through it's chest. He forgot that in spirit form, physical damage he dealt was turned into dark damage and significantly healed the dark spirit, dealing only minor fire damage!
It's a dark spirit.

Maybe it has an ability to absorb damage from other dark spirits just because you always use that ability and its too strong?

This may not be killing you, but it is certainly satisfactory. Naablvat, kill the lady.

Continue strangling the Darkfallen, order Naablvat to kill her.

Don't worry too much about the one mistake, Smoke Mirrors. Your character was memorable for all the demonology and story writing.

I’m running a game/mechanics test called Fate/Mechanics Test. Feel free to check it out.

-_-
And how else, precisely, do you think we're going to defend ourselves from dark spirits, now that we have no exorcist? I took that ability mainly so as to help with that consideration.
Let's just wait for Dark's verdict.

But what about the new exorcist that joined you last turn.

Pretty sure Tir was going to be joining your group.
EDIT: Never mind, I was confused. Whoops.
I recall that they said that they wanted to be with you guys...

Darkfallen is dark spirit base type, but what is a difference between it and other dark spirits? It's corporeal, dark spirits can't be corporeal on it's own - you deal damage to a host, a zombie it possessed and when it falls apart, only then you'll be able to hurt the dark spirit as it would leave the body. That's why Aaron did dark damage instead of raw damage that bypasses pretty much everything, he hurted a possessed zombie.

I did say put me where you'd like me to be :P But then I initially said something like that too .-.; I could help out on the tinier group though, but it seems too late for that D:

Cheers to going for experience, GM :D

...
One would think that this would be stated, as by looking at it, it would seem to be pretty clear that it's corporeal instead of a true "dark spirit", at thing that you never indicated. >:(
EDIT: I mean, seriously, it would be pretty obvious.
EDIT2: Seriously, if I could tell what it was, I should have probably known that the incorporeal form would be useless against it, but you never indicated that. You've been calling it a dark spirit this whole time, so for all I knew, my incorporeality should have been fully effective.

Return to corporeality, and attack the Darkfallen again.

Eh, I've got a lot on my head and tend to forget about many things, not only rtd related. It comes to the point that I sometimes wonder whether I turned lights off or did something else. My short term memory is somewhat weak lately, but that's not an excuse for forgetting stuff.

You only rolled for recognition, not recalling whole stats table.

I would have been able to see that it was corporeal, though. That really should have been excrutiatingly obvious, no roll needed. -_-

Quote from: Turn 32
[5] Before they left, Smoke used his infravision to determine from which part of the keep the noise came. He noticed a tall and skinny figure banging on reinforced cell doors that led to dungeon. The doors barely held on against the force of that being. Smoke went to others and said: Watch out, the thing would break out of dungeon soon, and it is a strong one. - then returned to rest of his group.

First sign of corporeality - banging on dungeon doors. Spirit could simply phase through.

Quote from: Turn 33
[2] There it was - a tall figure in the distance. They couldn't see it too well in the darkness, but it was running quickly. From afar it shouted: From your bones I shall make myself an armor!

Then it was running. Dark Spirits float and are able to fly. They can't run cause they can't touch the ground, they'll phase through it. Just like you in spirit form.

Quote from: Turn 34
[Naablvat: 3, Darkfallen: 1] The horned demon turned ablaze and charged at the dark spirit, impaling it on it's massive horns then throwing it off them, smashing it against the ground!

Naablvat was able to impale the body and smash darkfallen against the ground, so it was corporeal.

Quote from: Turn 35
[1] Well that dark attack just healed it, and that's what adding ghost dust did to my powder. I need another option - Vivian said looking around nervously, but she haven't noticed that darkfallen dashed between others and grabbed her!

[Vivian: 3, Darkfallen: 4] The dark spirit put a choke hold on alchemist's neck and put second hand on Vivian's face, starting to sap her life away! Alchemist desperately raised her rapier and stabbed it in chest, blocking life drain but still remaining in dark spirit's clutches.

And previous turn. While the usual, intangible dark spirit could materialise a hand, it wouldn't be able to do so for a long time and it's strenght would be much too weak to strangle someone. Even poltergeist would struggle to kill someone with materialised body part. It would use telekinesis instead, cheaty bastard.

I mean, there was plenty of hints about darkfallen's corporeality. Note that there's no metagaming since Smoke told you about it breaking out of dungeon, and I don't even punish metagaming. You could as well receive a heavenly guidance with info about other's whereabouts since everything goes in this rtd.

-_-
And yet over and over you referred to it as a dark spirit - a term that means to me that it is a spirit, that is, incorporeal. This is not a dark spirit; this is a magic zombie with the mind of a dark spirit.
