You have demonic ambassador so it won't attack you, but it will go against the rest. There is no nobility within demons. A demon lord is basically a high tier demon in endless demonic hierarchy. Anything higher than demon lord is a boss. Depending on conversation rolls, it might be able for them to escape. But then, it might give chase. Seymour should be on par with Maelstorm if not a bit weaker, lightning powers are a big advantage for the demon. But then Seymour is heavily buffed melee murder machine.

Also, make your plans in bold, so I won't miss them when writing turn.
The plans are still wip
Will it instantly attack or is it already hostile? Will banish work on him?
If I die, what will happen to Smoke?

Immortality like that would be even more game breaking than four Aaron's in one place.
You're both so obviously scum that this is a surprisingly difficult decision.

Y'know, since the turn is not posted yet, he hasn't screwed anyone yet. He can always change it. And you could always get a 1 on diplomancy.

AB! LBH SBBY! JUNG GUR SHPX NER LBH QBVAT? <-insults to inquisitor
Lyirah! Run! You must leave now or you will die with us! Seymour, please bring Lyirah to safety,
I will stay here to distract the demon lord.

Arcane trap the demon lord, then Banish.
If it doesnt work, use my arcane tome and attack Maelstorm.

(So, did I exchange the dark bolt skill to have better regeneration before or it was a no to that?)
fakeedit: im just mad that he probably didnt read the plan and hes going to get everyone killed horribly
EDIT: If anyone forgot, most demons are immune to holy damage and resist physical damage. Thats why its so suicidal.

I'm still not wholly clear on why this is, by the way.

I think its because arcane magic is older than gods and religion.

You have demonic ambassador so it won't attack you, but it will go against the rest..
I doubt any diplomatic move you try will work for ALL of the party, so I am doing the most logical thing I have available to me: engaging the target to distract them.
I do not expect to survive, and quite frankly I am hoping you either escape, or get Seymour to kill it before it does more damage than it already will.

You WILL die, with me. I wanted you to warn everyone else so we could fight it together (Except me, cause dead distraction)

I guess we will both heroic sacrifice then.

Edit: I would call Smoke back to support us, but I dont want him to die either. It was said that the demonlord was stronger than Seymour (a GOD of WAR), and I dont want him to die too. Thats why I wanted diplomacy, to avoid the fight. Now the only chance of survival is that banish works.

If everything fails, I will ask Seymour to collapse the entrance, so the demon lord can't enter the keep.

If you die, I'll take care of Smoke until you respawn.

Don't worry too much about the one mistake, Smoke Mirrors. Your character was memorable for all the demonology and story writing.

I’m running a game/mechanics test called Fate/Mechanics Test. Feel free to check it out.

He is only slightly more powerful than Seymour, but more importantly he is ALONE. I believe that between the three of us, we can take him down without banishing, though it might be substantially more difficult.

Okay, when he takes Lyirah to a safe place, I will have Smoke tell him to help us in the fight, if he wants.
Also, about Smoke, What happens to bound demons when the master dies? If its something bad, I will break the bond just before I die.
(srry I value NPC lives over player lives)

NPCs are controlled by the GM, who knows what's happening and is generally trying to get the players to do what they're supposed to do. Players don't, and would often rather do other things. NPCs probably know more about what to do than players do.
However, you may want to try to make sure Smoke remains loyal to the party if you die.
