Construct dozens of cheese golems to be his friends. He kicks them out of his tower when they start to age enough to smell. He'd try again using something other than Limburger, but he used up all of his cheese culture.

WWUD if a group of miasma spewing cheese golems tried to move into the fort as pets?

Adopt all of them. The happiness of so many adorable pets outweighs the stress of the constant stench. Urist's pets quickly drive the REST of the fort into a tantrum spiral of insanity and death and Urist dies with a pickaxe to the skull.

What would Urist do if cheese was a viable building material, like soap?
