The beard, recognizing it's former host, simply reattaches to Urist. Two weeks later, Urist becomes a Mist Thrall and gets locked in a side room for the rest of eternity.

He would starve to death. No true dwarf would let his glorious beard get filthy with solid (ie. not boozy) food.

[At first glance I misread that as "booze colossus", thought it was funnier]

Urist dedicates his life to find a mate for his booze colossus but he slowly sips it away. After days of search the colossus is no more. Urist is struck by melancholy as he will never again taste such a colossal drink.
