Being severely cave adapted, eternal night sounds alright to Urist.

WWUD if he was a legendary weaponsmith, but was assigned to haul instead when migrating to a new fortress?

Ignore it until a series of bizzare accidents leads to war between their two civs, then strangle it and cause a loyalty cascade, because as his pet it remains a member of his civ.

WWUD if a balrog wandered in from the caverns and started to placidly admire various pieces of furniture?

Live happily for the rest of his natural life, because the overseer takes an interest in the couple and goes to enormous lengths to keep them in the lap of luxury and shield them from any and all harm. The elf becomes a minor deity on the forums, but Urist himself is largely forgotten.

WWUD if he and his wife were given stewardship over the fort's orphaned babies and children?
