You can make nice blue stonecrafts and structures with it.

I think someone's been messing with the RAWs too.  Who made gold stronger than iron anyways?

Just a party of dwarves that took a wrong turn and embarked on the terraria world.

Down in HFS, I found a flying clown clutching a +rope reed fiber figurine of a human+. I killed it, grabbed the figurine, and being the idiot that I am, I dropped the figurine into the pits. But something happened; a gigantic demon with tons of bodyparts emerged from the ground and ran towards me. I managed to kill it, though not without difficulty, and a bunch of constructed HFS walls appeared where it died. I destroyed it, reaped the spoils, and discovered that the "ancient spirits of the land has now awoken".

What do I do now, guys? I found that most of all the human skeletons are now wearing tough-as-nails armor, and can somehow deal significant damage against my masterwork molten armor.

Your molten armor is as tissue paper to the reawakened spirits of the world.

Deconstruct demon altars and start mining cobaltite. You can smelt it now.

I know you guys said Redigit is a pretty horrid programmer, but this is a bit ridiculous. I can leave Skyrim on all day with no problems. However, after two or three hours of Terraria, my laptop enters hibernation mode. On powering back on, it informs me that it just overheated.

I'm off to turn off all flashy bits. I may pull another marathon tomorrow to see if that helps.

Hmm, that seems strange. Although Redigit is on no level a graceful programmer, he shouldn't be able to break too much without understanding of how to break it. This is c# after all, and it is very friendly.
Such an issue is more likely to be caused by the XNA library... Unless Redigit has really achieved all new levels of fail by filling arrays with 'dead' data, because he doesn't understand lists (And yes, we know from he's misappropriated use of arrays that he doesn't know how to use a list) but that doesn't seem as likely somehow. I mean he's objects are too shallow to eat much of your ram, let alone cause your computer to overheat.
No, I hate to say it, but I would look at Microsoft for that one.

Hey guys, I would really love to play this but I don't have the money right now! I do have some coal and coupons for it though, so does anyone want to trade with me?

Meph, you using Win7 completely updated? If so, then it shouldnt be microsoft. If its not the game either, it must be your hardware.

Next time you are running Terraria and your computer starts to heat up, minimize the game and open Run. Type "perfmon.exe /res", and check out if its really terraria eating all that RAM.
