This guy took me about two hours and a couple of pencils.  Unfortunately my laziness sapped me towards the end, so the leaves and shading were rushed.   ::)

A major obstacle for me is staying interested in a drawing once the outline is done.

Oh snap, that's awesome! The crossed over foot seems to be at a somewhat unpleasant angle, though. The leg itself seems to be going straight down, while the foot's facing away from the viewer. But other than that...

also i made an ugly stickman guide thing on a whim

Wow, that's awesome!  Way to take advice and run with it.

Shook, you're right about the foot.  I didn't really think about it until now, but now it's driving me crazy.  Must work on this.

THIS IS SO RIGHT ON SO MANY LEVELS

Your artistic adventures never cease to amaze me. The amount of glory is nearly blowing me away from the monitor, but i manage to cling feverishly to my desk just to type this. c:

Also, those are pretty neat, bombzero! What gets me is that they kind of lack swooshyness. On top of being an awesome expression, it really helps when doing full-body drawings.
Hey what's thi-

Nice diglett. Only thing I notice is it looks kinda 'flat', but other than that it looks like anime-quality o-o

Any advice on how to avoid that in the future?

I dunno, I'm newb. Maybe look up shading techniques or do more subtle shading?

Think of what you're coloring as shapes, the Diglet is a half circle on top of a cylinder and its nose is just an oval, then render it as those shapes would be in real life.
