The first thing that pops out to me on that hand is the single jointed thumb. Even a slight indication of that first knuckle (is it still called a knuckle on a thumb?). Overall, that's some pretty good progress on the ever feared hand.

I myself have been busy for the last week, mostly because my router died and I have a lack of offline games installed on my computer. Now my connection's being pretty picky about what it will and won't connect to. These forums load fine (obviously), but imgur doesn't so uploading will have to wait for a while.

Dwarves passing by get good thoughts from the mist of water and exploding felines.
Anyone of the equivalent to the royal bloodline in a nomadic group would have a sun tattooed on their hand, or a scrotum on their forehead (it's a little-known fact that fraternities are based off of long-forgotten tribes).

Ah yes, that is true. Fortunately, that is a thing that can be mitigated with like one extra line. :v
A shame about your router acting up, but i shall eagerly await your return! (also re: offline games that's why i like buying things from Humble store and gog.com huehue)

in the meantime i felt like drawing something with a large hat

Hat successful, pose not so much. :U

It's 12:40 at night and I really should've gone to sleep an hour ago but hey, I drew a thing. That's mildly better than "play games all night and not do anything creative" but not quite as good as "play guitar all the time" or "master that song" or "paint the Mona Lisa in Microsoft Paint with your tongue." Also I stayed up late on a school night. Again.

Was aiming for a more realistic style of sketch, but it quickly degraded into "not serious work" just from when I was doing the linework and the anonymous model's nose came out to be the size of a pickle. I swear her nose got bigger with every new layer. The coloring was a quick job just so it isn't floating in void.

Been working on a project called starmap recently
I still have a lot to do, but it's slowly getting there.
The main issue I'm having is that there's no actual map (aside from a single object)

Excellent, very excellent. Also, getting some Goat Simulator vibes from the second one, not sure why though. :v

Also, today i contemplated the possibility of a silly lizard/dino mask, a bit like that horse mask that's going around. That led to a doodle.

and some really bad hands

but hey

i'd buy a silly lizard mask

Cheers guys, it's a project in photoshop to make a neato space map.
I've made everything you see except for the fonts and the cloud pictures used for this (and the ones after it probably):

The entire image itself is 4k by 2k, so there's still a lot of work to be done :\

Also shook I've loved your comics :)

So today I've decided to grab a proper sheet of paper and get drawing.
Didn't draw much, but it's still pretty good. (also I've colored it digitally in Paint.NET in an extremely lazy manner that every artist out there would want to burn me alive and throw into a pit of hungry snakes for)
I guess it's related to Gun Francisco and I should probably post it over there, but HEY, whatever.

Started tabbing out "One Day More" from Les Mis tonight, I've got the intro and Valjean's solo

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

for those of you who are interested in playing the guitar!

EDIT: the forum messed up the tab a bit but I think it's still legible.

I decided to try futzing around today with a really basic landscapey thing. I've learned that I can't into combining textures and perspective, but oh well. At that point I probably would want to look into legitimate 3D rendering programs instead of stubbornly trying to do everything in GIMP. I like the clouds, at least.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Got really bored while listening to the Co-Optional Podcast so I drew this. 100% with the mouse.
Spoiler: Thing (click to show/hide)

I don't even.

Soon after, I made this thing. Remotely inspired by Dwarf Fortress weapons.

(yeah, I know, double-post...)

I have a little challenge for you folks.
You've got two colors to work with (technically one, since the other is for the background), pencil tool, 1-pixel-thickness, mouse only. No extra effects.
GO!

Spoiler: Here's what I've made. (click to show/hide)

It was meant as an alien investigating human weapons (which aren't quite real...) on a console. (You can see hands at the very bottom but I kind of failed to draw them properly...)
And no, I did not base the "alphabet" on anything, don't try to decipher it because there isn't anything to be deciphered.or is there?

So yeah, the true minimalist art challenge, see what you can do with it!  ;D
