Their designs aren't really similar. It's just the convergent need for a rapid cutting and scooping weapon. Orks have chain-weapons too, and I'm sure the Nids could grow an organic chainsaw. Only the poor, pathetic, useless Tau do not understand the glory of the chain.

You could also say the idea of the chainsaw is ultimately passed down from the Old Ones.

That's just stupid enough to be true...

The great old ones made two great weapons: Orks, and chainsaws.

I loved the way Emperor TTS depicted war hammer history. So hilarious, and so accurate

I am not complaining about either of those. I am complaining about another 40k "But I must fight" to add to the pile :P
I think you are fundamentally mistaken in complaining that the characters must fight in a setting where there is only war

He's 275 points, has T6, a S10 Thunder Hammer, 2+ armour and a 3+ invulnerable save.

I'll probably go back and add some more ornamentation and frippery to him to mask the green stuff on his back better, not great and sculpting or smoothing and was getting frustrated with it.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

WH40k: Sanctus Reach by Slitherine Studios. The same folks who brought you the, perhaps really underwhelming, Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon.

This is the same kind of game that's firmly in their wheel house: turn-based strategy. However it looks a lot nicer aesthetically speaking than Armageddon does. Still the same kind of basic gameplay but at least it doesn't look like a hurried reskin of Panzer Corps this time. Still got all the tell-tale marks of Slitherine though. Basic animations, questionable audio. Grots doing damage to Terminators and all the shit that made me turn off Armageddon after a few minutes.

Also apparently Knights are the new IT girl of 40k.
