Well, this is irritating.  I'm trying to get a naturally occurring wild animal to gain a name, so I'm sending a bunch of unarmed beards against them so the animal can wrack up some injuring and kills.

When did dwarves gain the ability to run down and punch out a unicorn and a giant cougar?

Maybe someone already knows what the historical figure attributes look like for a name-worthy animal?

sv-esk: Did you re-run the automatic scans after your changes to structures and {linux,osx,windows}/df.globals.xml? There are some missing globals that are usually automatically-located (e.g. ui_look_list, created_item_count, and created_item_matindex on OS X), so I'm wondering if those could be fixed by re-running the scans (or at least the ones that find globals - I'm not sure if make-scans.sh would fail since there are already entries for 0.42.06 in symbols.xml, but maybe scan_ctors.rb/scan_ctors_osx.rb would work).

Most development discussion takes place on IRC (#dfhack on freenode), by the way, so feel free to stop by if you haven't.

There was a typo in the siegers' campfire code. When the fires went out, so did the game.

Yes, but I havent changed osx/* files manually. No osx devices/virtual environment to test. Missing globals will be fixed after manual fixing osx/* and re-runnung scans, I guess. No it won't fix.
It seems I didnt updated linux/df.globals.xml properly. So thats why lisp-tool doubled globals.
manual fix&re-run scripts result

sv-esk has updated some things, which I'll take a look at merging later today. I don't think they've checked everything, though, but if it's usable I'll try to make an alpha release soon after.

Looking forward to that alpha! :D

cheers!

Not a file is produced. Just an empty folder.

Do you  have cmake installed?

They're exactly the same, assuming you mean https://dfhack.readthedocs.org/en/latest/docs/Compile.html and https://github.com/DFHack/dfhack/blob/develop/docs/Compile.rst. (The copy on ReadTheDocs is generated whenever the GitHub copy is changed.)

Sure is! Memory does not serve me well!

Jwoodward48df have you tried from a console (command prompt) to watch what happens like the helpful sv-esk suggested?

Perhaps troubleshooting could be taken to the IRC channel?  A forum thread is not the best format...

I'm debating moving my todo list onto github so people can see and comment on stuff but I'm not sure if it's worth the effort. Right now it's just a text file.
