you had everything that made the beast the beast, the wings, the eyelessness, the gas and the jagged scales.
and i really like the point of view that you drew. overall very nice.
may i ask what the script at the top says?

Weird, yours was a close second, as you may know I love animations.

InZane, you get third place, i really love the dwarf going to fight it.

Excellent! I must say, that's some of my finer work; I was quite pleased with it myself, and am glad it was well-received.

may i ask what the script at the top says?

It says "Urithi." The characters are Tolkein's tengwar.

He has a bit of a story involved: after arriving, he just ambled about beacuse I had the caverns closed off. I started getting messages saying "Sluste Slupigalel, Forgotten Beast is no longer enraged"; but he was offscreen at the time so I didn't know what was going on. Then one day I found that I could make a memorial slab for him (which, of course, I did). Turns out, as you can see, he was locked in year long combat with some reptile people, only managing to kill one before being unceremoniously slain with a fungiwood spear.

Sluste! Fun to draw. Despite living in a place where you can't go for a walk without tripping over at least three of the bastards, I've never tried to draw a gator before.

Not exceptional, but I'm not very good at reptiles. Or mammals. Or platypuses. Or insects. Or inanimate objects. Or anything else, really.

I didn't see the battle take place, so that's all the info I have, unfortunately.

No adjectives to describe the feathers? No bueno.

Does it have crazy peacock feathers? Teensy weensy guinea hen like feathers? Fuzzy feathers like an ostritch?

The world will never know.

*nitpick about "trunk"--  that particular noun can also refer to the midsection of the body, and not expllicitly to a long, prehensile nose. Eg, it could have a "spring body" like those silly "slinky dog" toys.


I will see what I can come up with tonight. Not well rested, since I am in mid-circadian-reset, after getting my sleep cycle all screwed up over the holiday weekend.
