How do you kill a power-armoured Ogryn? Pretty certain if you exterminatus'd the planet they were stuck on, they'd still be floating amidst the debris

Power armoured mutant ogryn. About as tough as carnifexes.  :P

Now the only question is where to find bikes that can support them.

Or beasts.

Only thing better than mutated Ogryn Marines is mutated Ogryn Marine cavalry.

I do sorta wish you could take a third provenance, but odds are that would be pushing it too far into breakiable territory

It's also possible with that ruleset to make a 40k version of Fantasy Beastmen.  :D

Tons of 2 point T4 infantry rushing forward to try and stab people to death with knives, backed up by a very buffed up leader and a bunch of minotaur equivalent ogryn. Entire thing can be Fearless and have Hatred as well just so you don't need to worry about the terrible leadership. Drown the board in terrible terrible soldiers! All the useless mooks you could ever want!  :P

True dedication means painting and basing 300 beastmen on round bases.  :P

I guess standard bullgryns with slab shields have a 3+
And the non-3+ ones can use a power maul.

But still...

Ogryn and bullgryn are generally considered pretty bad though and generally not worth taking unless you have (very mild comparatively) cheese up your sleeve. I'd say the militia ogryn, while being far better in many ways, not least the build flexibility they have, are actually more or less what an ogryn would need to be like to be even vaguely competitive in 40k as it is nowadays.

Admittedly back in 5th when I started they'd have been broken as hell.

I gotta say, normally, I'm not a fan of the new 30k content--but GOD. DAMN. The Solar Auxilia is sexy as fuck.

Look at the beautifully grimdark-but-not-as-grimdark armor. If I'm gonna be exterminated, I'm gonna be exterminated by THAT.

I like them because they actually are Space Marines without Space Marines, so to say. Their armour is as good as it can be, they can operate basically everywhere where Marines can, including space and are pretty cool dudes all-around. Makes you think that Great Crusade might have not been only MARINES MARINES MARINES MARINES MARINES MARINES MARINES but also maybe some regular soldiers.
