And then some other guy walks up and shoots you on the Joker's orders. That's the image I keep getting.

Oh man. I should actually put on my Joker costume and take pictures now.

And attraction is all subjective, like art. Put up a picture. No one is necessarily any more or less attractive than anyone else.

K fine. I don't usually like pictures I take of myself unless I have a goofy look on my face, so yeah.

First, hit yourself with the ugly stick before you display inappropriate self-pity. Second, if you think "belonging" is based on looks, you don't belong here ;)

If you were just fishing for compliments, that's the best one you'll be getting from me.

Better than an unfit cavebear, one would argue!

I was listening to NPR recently and it was mentioned that neanderthals actually had 10% larger brains than homo sapiens.  :D

Indeed, they were larger overall.  But I think there was something about them not being as complex or compact as modern man.  Something to the effect that we're still smarter, but they had bigger heads.

As I was walking around shirtless one day, my friend's fiancee commented on my brush of chest hair (I've got a little city of hair in the middle of my chest, with one of those southbound motorways).  She then decided that, since my friend was present, it would be a wonderful time to recount when they first lay naked together and she grabbed hold of his little golden tuft of frontal fuzz, causing her to grimace slightly.

Seeing this, he said "I know, I've got hair on my chest".

To which she responded "Not enough".

This was the kind of entirely too personal conversation we tended to have on a fairly regular basis.  I associate with strange people.

EDIT:  The "Human" page on Wikipedia is designed following the same rules as all other animal species.  This includes a conservation status slider.

i'd like to see something sciency backing up that theory. other than the fact they went extinct and we didn't, i don't think there is much proof of our alleged intellectual superiority.

I watched some special about that, but I can't remember if it was National Geographic or BBC.
Anyway, the reason the Neanderthals went extinct was because their energy needs were too high, preventing their spread, then we come in and begin hunting, the reduced food supply leads to a reduced population cap, slowly causing their demise.
However, they were more advanced than us at the time, in terms of culture and art, but not language.
For some reason, their brains weren't quite as able to process abstract thought as ours.

... I always heard that the problem was their big heads killing off all the mothers, which left fewer and fewer people to take care of the children.
