This doesn't work at all for me.

When I put opengl32.dll in my dorf folder the game crashes on startup. I get the fullscreen prompt and after I click either yes or no it says tells me "dwarfort.exe has stopped working"

Using Vista32 by the way, anyone else having this problem?

The file goes in the same folder as dwarfort.exe right?
Try turning INTRO off in the init.

No luck. It's not too terribly slow anyways, I'll survive  :)

An incredible increase.. Back up to 90-100 fps from ~30 at embark!

It doesn't seem to be making a difference for me - 40ish FPS either way.

*Edit* On Vista32, intel quad core.

Thank you for this.

This answer is perfect for me.  I'd set my max fps to 200, and was running 30-45 with 2010DF, but with long long lags that made me think the 30-45 was more like 10-15 but unable to tell how slow it was.

Following the instructions here worked ok until the movie reached where the screen went blue, then it freaked out.

Turned the movie off and tried again, and it works great.  The first unpause takes a bit of time to register, after that, I'm running at 180-190 fps and very smooth, even with repeated pause/unpause and scrolling around.  Smoothest DF yet for my playing pleasure, thank you creative programming geniuses!

~35 fps -> ~10 fps (playing)
~200 fps -> 0 fps (menu)
~200 fps -> ~20 fps (paused)
It actually made it slower for me (Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset Family)

Didn't work at all until I disabled the intro movie.
After that it worked and gave this blue tint, and FPS stayed the same or dropped worse. It jerked every couple of seconds. :-\

Valiant effort, but no cake.

Edit: Running XP64 on a Q9450 3,4GHz (quadcore). Radeon 4870HD if that matters.

There' something wrong with pathfinding in 0.31.01, regardless of obvious problems with it(dude cannot find a place while standing NEAR it etc), there are huge fps losses for few seconds sometimes while using DF accelerator when pathfinding has a problem.
But 60-70 fps at 1280x800 on feeble 1.6ghz with gma965 and fort with 70 dwarves is real thing.
DF accelerator needs fullscreen mode, as there's only small fps jump while using windowed mode here.

Resolved the light-grey-turns-blue issue with:
[LGRAY_R:192]
[LGRAY_G:192]
[LGRAY_B:128]

Setting all colors below 128 also resolves the issue, but thats not realy light grey anymore.

For me it works, but only slightly.  My FPS is still way down, but now I don't think I'm getting random stutters.

This gave me a good boost to my embark FPS, but will crash if I alt-tab into fullscreen mode. Just a heads up for people.

Running windows XP 32 bit with an NVidia graphics card. It crashes on the second screen of the intro.
