You don't mess with the stats of a dwarf. You get what Armok gives you, and nothing more. This fort's awesomeness hinges on the fact that it is still alive despite things that would kill an ordinary fort.

Oh no I sound like a creationist speaking out against genetic engineering.

Making blocks out of bone/muscle/guts isn't the same at all. That's just being creative.

It's certainly meant to be purely aesthetic - I don't know what, if anything, intuition actually impacts.  (Ah - according to the wiki.... a very limited number of skills, none of which Catalyst actually performs unless she is suddenly an animal trainer, diagnoser, or broker, and I dont know about it.  So - bear that in mind when you decide whether it seems like aesthetics or cheating in your opinion I guess.  Me, I just like the "Uncanny Intuition" descriptor.)

Random Insomniac Edit - I just noticed that in the initial posts for Battlefailed - before the fort was even named Battlefailed - it had been misspelled as a "Secession" fort.

Strangely prophetic of future fun?

I do believe some prophecies fulfill themselves, yes. Watch out for them typos :P

Waitaminnit.  I just re-read your final post.  Did I miss, the first time around, the fact that loyalty is now cascading once again?  "Interrupted by bone doctor" and all that?

It was probably one of those liaisons who went berserk.

I love how, when Gizogin got to be the mayor, every liaison just decided to go crazy. Gizogin, dude, the liaisons don't like you, it seems.

I think it's more likely that, after seeing the way that I rose to power, they finally realized just how truly messed up this place is.  They went mad from the revelation.

It's also quite possible that my dwarf is now the only one that isn't possessed by the dead and damned.
Hey, I'm not possessed!  I'm totally mortal and stuff.  My continuing work on corrupting the very fundaments of nature is in no way a reflection on any supernatural activity, real or imagined.

I'm pretty sure I never actually asked to be on the turn list, so can I fix that now?  I definitely want to try my hand at this madness, and it seems fitting now that I'm the mayor and stuff.

Alright, the save is up. It's already linked in the update.

Took forever to upload...

So, how do you all think it went?

Extremely awesome:

- Still Alive
- Apocalyptic prophecy
- Horde of psychotic liaisons
- Desecrated/prepared the desecration of the sacred remains of hundreds of dwarves
- Great writing

All in all a splendid ☼turn☼

When the time comes to generate a new Aluonra, we should make sure to maximize demons, titans and night creature numbers.  At the rate we're going, a future Windy World should be teeming with vampires, necromancers and restless spirits along with the usual forgotten beasts.

Andreus. But I'm not sure of what number, XIV or XV.

Download just finished, I think it's andreus XIII now

EDIT: running at a stable 9 FPS. And carp, that's an awful ammount of clutter over on the north end of the map.

EDIT 2: Andreus XI, ghost has caused a fever on one of our miners. I found out he had a tomb assingned to him without his body in it. Assingned it to burial.

EDIT 3: Found out why the groundhogs refuse to drown. There is a tunnel above the one they are in filled with 1/7 water. They have innate swimming, and as long as there is less than (I think) 5/7 water above you, you can breathe. I considered flooding it completely, but I fear for the fps. Good thing the STFO seems to be offline

I know for sure Mekboy, Andreus, and I are up for dorfing. The Infernal/Eternal Cat Lady could probably use a new incarnation, too. Like you said, the OP is outdated, so I'm unsure how much of the list is accurate.

What is the record for the longest-running succession fort? I think Failcannon may be a serious contender for that title, despite the numerous disasters. At least, given those disasters, it feels like it has been a long time.
