I nominate Weatherwires. It was long, tragic, moving, and awe-inspiring, and embodies the "losing is fun and epic" spirit of Dwarf Fortress.

Actually, since it has already been nominated, I second its nomination if nominations are still required.

I also just noticed that no one is talking about Hellcannon anymore.  What happened?

It hasn't been very interesting so far. It coasted along for a while on the reputation of its predecessors but hasn't lived up to its own hype. It doesn't help that some turns haven't been written up. There's such a confusing gap that it's like reading about two different forts.

Honestly I can't see Hellcannon getting any votes until it's back up to the standards of it's predecessors. Namely, horrific bloodshed and insanity, less meta-gaming and more masterwork updates.

^ This

^Double This.

Edit: I vote for Weatherwires too.

Mid-month maintenance!

0.1 of Cyberdorf has been released. IT IS NOTEPAD. IN A COMPUTER GAME. EVERY COMPUTER PROGRAMMER JUST NERDGASMED.

This is a vote if you couldn't tell.
I'm revoting Cyberdorf Systems.
I vote for Cyberdorf and Hill of Deceivers.

I vote for Cyberdorf Systems.

Votes added!

Cyberdorf Systems: Dwarfputing an AI has been inducted
into the Hall of Legends! *dadurrr!*

I would like to nominate Skyscrapes, the Tower Fortress under Epic Fortresses.

Also, The Eternal Halls is active again.

Is it? Consarnit. Apparently, whenever I give up on a thread, THAT is when it will revive. Also, got a link for Skyscrapes? I'll add it to the nominees then.

RE: Various and sundry votes for Weatherwires- under the new format, Weatherwires will not be eligible to receive votes until March. I'll holler when it does become eligible. That said, feel free to talk it up and create buzz in-thread, just be aware that we are not yet taking votes for it.

Downvoting "My Little Fortress: Glitterglen".  While it's an interesting tale, a massive RP occurance featuring My Little Pony-themed characters doesn't seem to fit the theme of things that new players absolutely SHOULD see when being introduced to dwarf fortress, nor does it seem to fit (in my opinion), seeing as it doesn't involve dwarves themselves.

That is an awully good point.

Also, the massive RP is annoying at the end.  It is the most replied to thread on these forums.

Downvoting.

I also downvote. It's not that I don't like it, but, as Urist pointed out, does not fit the criteria for the hall of legends.
