I absolutely love these.
I'd contribute my own, but it's .exe and I'm on a mac.
Can someone convert it over to .jar? I can use those.

"Someone" would have to be me, I'm the guy with the source.

I can probably try and convert it, but I can't guarantee it will work. My skill level in Java is best described as "inexperienced", and I've been avoiding Macs like the plague ever since Apple Macintosh II's at our school got replaced with PCs, so...

Can't you use a virtual machine? WINE, or whichever the Mac equivalent is.

I'll try. However, in your favor, you have more Java experience than I.
My experience level can only be described as "I can open these files".
Either way, these are hilarious.

EDIT: Wine makes no sense so far. Going to try a bit more - someone might have to package it up in Wine for everyone with a mac. I can edit .txt and .xml files no sweat.
EDIT2: I just realized that you said "Wine, or whatever the mac equivalent is". Gosh darn it.
EDIT3: Wait, scratch that. Wine is for mac. Time to find a working download and try.

I made it to my home windows computer.
I don't know if it can run Dwarf Fortress, but it should be able to run this.

EDIT: Putting both the Entity file and Creature_Standard at Level 4, things are strange (note that I know the tags enough that I can recognize something familiar):
[TEND] - I guess this tag enables tending to the wounded.
[CLOTH] - How exactly does this apply to a civilization or a creature?
[ATTACK:1:IRIS_EYE_PRIORITY:MARQUOISONALISM_NARROW] - I don't know what Maquoisonalism is, but I don't want a narrow one in my iris.
[CREACTIVE:1:DARD_TISSUE_SENSE:500] - The reactive creature has a strong sense for dard tissue.
[SET:1:IRIS_EYE_SPEED:700] - And now the irises of my eyes are running faster than me. Ow.
[BODY:100] - Wait, does that mean it has 100 bodies or that its body is size 100?
[DUTY_BLOOD:0:70:90:130:200] - It is my duty to blood.
[MAX_SIEGE:1:MOUTH:RIBCAGE_PICABOCHOCOLOR:ITEMPLAN:HUMANOID_RELSIZE:1:CINNAME:SIDEBURNT_SALTWATE] - This makes no sense, but I wanted to include it...
[PUS:LOCAL_PLATERIES] - Wait, how can pus be a local "platery"?
[PANTS] - Pants. Just pants.
[APPOINTACTIONS] - Your fortress appointacted a new mayor today.
[BLOOD:LIP] - o.O
[BP_GROUP:BY_CATEGORY:TONGULARGE_IRIS_EYE_SANCE_MAT:NO_ENFORWAR:ears:sasquatches] - There's a tongularge in my iris!
[ATTACK_CONTACK_VERB:punch:scratch:scratches] - First a punch, then a scratch, then more scratches! That's the attack contack.
[ETHIC:KILL:5FINGULAR] - Death to fingulars!
[WEAPON:1:IRIS_EYE] - Again with the iris!

...and that's all I got.

The travestificator works perfectly fine in Wine and I know Winebottler... Give me a few minutes and I'll package it!

EDIT: This works, but to include the whole Wine package makes the file several hundred megabytes — actually greater in size than it would be had you just downloaded Wine yourself. You're better off downloading Wine directly as a Mac app from here; then you can just double-click the travestificator EXE to run it as you would on Windows.

I rediscovered the thread, got the travesticator and Wine and made it work. Relying solely on the creature file for the Fallen Angels, we get:

[NOBREADING:15] - They can't bread 15 times over?
[NATURAL_SKILL:KNOWLEDGE_WEAPON:15] - They use their minds as weapons.
[BODY_SIZE:0:0:7000] - This is normal, besides the fact it's 10% of the size of a human.
[CASTE:ALL:BUTCHEMY:15] - Butcher's alchemy - turning kitten bones into dragon bones.
[NATURAL_SKILL:COORS] - They're great at beer.
[BODY:HUMANTIMIDATION:15] - Their body is humantimidating fifteen times over.

15 seems to be a reoccurring number. Possibly of concern?

It's actually a recurring number in the files of the Fallen Angels.
They have a default stat of 15 in every single skill.
So 15 is absurdly common.

So I put my "dforter.txt" through the travestificator. It contains, among other things, a whole bunch of RNG names and titles I found memorable. You should see some of the stuff that came out of it... (brace yourself, I have a lot of these)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

And a ton of barely comprehensible Engrish sentences that I might include later.

I took a list of a very large number of computer/video games and travestized it. This counts, because Dwarf Fortress is in there somewhere.

Turtle Slots (2009, Activision)

Do you like playing casino games? Do you like turtles?

Steel Cage (1982, Aardvark-80, TRS-80 CoCo)

Sounds like it's a mech game where it's all text-based with a thirty-second pause after every combat action.

Momotaro Densetsu Komei-den Breed II: Winteractive, Inc. (Nintendo of Europe B.V., Maximum Editor, SEGA CD)

Ah, Nindtendo of Europe, that game-dev capital of the world.

Love Katayama Magic Carpet God of the Wonderful Exector's Edition (2009, Titus Franco-Prussia Publishing, Inc.)

Who doesn't love Franco-Prussian H-games?

Pet Shoot Machinko Paranormal Industries Basketball (1993, VIPS) (Amiga, Atari ST)

Ok, so, like, you make a basketball team, right, except it's all pets, and they are possessed by the ghosts of great B-ballers of the past...

Murder 2007 (2001, Amiga, Apple II, Commodore 64, DOS)

Released six years ahead of schedule thanks to a decision to focus on mature development platforms.

Slime Warriors (1990, Atari 8-bit, Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari 5200, Atari ST)

Mass Effect 3: Granny in Lost Wanted (2005, Sony Company, Ltd.) (Apple II, Atari Corporation 3)

Since people weren't happy with the ending of Mass Effect 3...

Basketball Prof. Rebuild (2002, Sun Corp.)

The King's Qubes (1997, Cactus Soft Corporation, Windows)

Pac-Man (1988, MicroProse Software Inc.) (Amiga)

Yep, Pac-man, released 1988, for the Amiga, developed by Micro-prose. Nothing to see here.

Hamtaro: Harley-Davidson Soccer Manager (1998, Croteam Land) (2011, Bethesda Software, Inc.)

Interesting idea...

Banjo Pilot (1994, Unknown Publisher(s)) (Commodore 64)

Doctor Who: Black Butt-Head

Dracula: Crazy Macho Cineplay Entertainment) (Windows)

Angry Bird (2008, Novitas GmbH, CDV Soft Entertainment Inc., Technos Japan, Ltd.) (FM-7, TRS-80 CoCo)

You saw it here, that's prior art.

Disaster Missile Company, Inc. (Timex Corporation, SEGA of America, Inc.) (Windows)

Also released as Kerbal Space Program.

Lolitaire (2002, Gremlin Interactive Software)

"So... it's funny? Like, Lol-itare?" "No, no, it isn't. You're off by one letter." "Yeah, I think it's time to call the cops."
