The reverted save might work. Other than that though, not much comes to mind on bringing the slime back. Might be a resurrect scroll around here somewhere though, either for sell or found.
Or you know, maybe mercenaries just respawn naturally.

The implications of mercenaries not respawning are actually quite horrific, if you think about it.

Hey after we kill the robot, what if we put slogs remains and the hardhat into the skill tree? Then he'd be with us forever and ever.

That could work. And be kinda weird, but could work.

@Ebbor: I'd be surprised if they did, and if possible promptly suggest we take advantage of that most horrifically.

Spoiler: Slog abuse within. (click to show/hide)

Opinion on this, eldrich abomination?

Edit: Yeah this would be OOC even for Ciro.

While I approve of deathfarming Slog, it IS OOC.

+ many. We must preserve slog for posterity. Even if only because we get benefits from it.

Otherwise, fire away.

Can we still use his corpse for storage?

So I finally catch up, vanish for an hour or two, and there's four more pages.

GOD DAMN IT.

Also in that interim, gentle Slog, noblest of us all, has... has...

Nooooooooooooo!

Can we still use his corpse for storage?
Doubtful, since the book flew out.

No Bethesda Backpacks for us.

But Al was doing it earlier, with Ciro's (male) corpse!

I know, but we didn't drop anything then, did we?

If there's enough of his corpse left to use as a backpack I'm all for it, but if that was the case we should probably have been collecting and nesting every illborn we've slain along the way.

Speaking of which let's collect and nest every illborn we slay along the way.

+1. It might be that Slog, being a slime, had a squishy body that got completely obliterated. Likewise, when that bot ripped Al in half back in the Underside, we probably wouldn't have been able to use his body for storage. Only whole bodies, I suspect.

I thought we used male Ciro's bisected corpse as a bag.

Since when do characters stay dead?

We should take Slog's body and stick it in that machine in the Greens.

I shouldn't be posting here, but you guys do realize that in addition to Slog's death and the bot still attacking, Yaos is about one or two turns away from his relatively unspecified doom. If you're going to make a fix, you need to make it now, and it needs to be a lot better than what you've been trying. You can be brilliant if you really want to be.

Imagine a cool peice of sky-blue and milk-white marble about 3cm by 2cm and by 0.5cm, containing a tiny 2mm malacolite crystal. Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.
