Since Derek doesn't have much to defend himself with and is certainly not very strong on his own, he picks up the wand.  It looks quite nice anyway, and it might help him along with the magic book, right?  Then, not forgetting about the magma, he then quickly runs back the way he came.  Magma is dangerous no matter what position it is in, and somehow he doubts floating lava stays that way for too long.

Hey, wait, if someone scores a kill with Chink, does the wielder or Chink get the point?

What would a sentient halberd even do with the points?

I wonder if my stats will affect my bearer, now that I'm a sentient magical halberd.

A thousand apologizes.  The person responsible for this error has been sacked.

The wielder.   Now, if someone propped him up near a doorway and he wiggled until he fell and clove someone in twain, Chink would get the point.  In cases like this, it's whoever committed the effort to get the kill.  Similarly, if someone was mind controlled into killing someone, the one controlling the mind would get the point.

So if someone dropped Chink off a ledge on someone's head, the dropper would get the point.
If Chink fell off on his own, he would.

Ok.

Who would get the point if Chink jumped off a ledge onto his own head?

Who would get the points if I wiggled in such a way as to make it so that a swing that would have missed instead hit the target and killed it?
