I really hope you're not being serious with those statistics. For one, statistics don't quite work that way, and for two, if everybody over nine watched porn at least once a week, the alarmists wouldn't bother saying 80%, they'd say "ALL CHILDREN WATCH PORN ERMAHGERD".

I'm assuming age is evenly distributed, and that children are people in the age range of 0-18 years. Which means 25% of children are under 4.5 years and 75% are over 4.5 years. By Pigeonhole Principle, even if everybody over the age of 4.5 watched porn every week, that only accounts for 75% out of 80% -- meaning the 5% that are left over have to be in the "under 4.5" group. This means that at least 5% of children are both under 4.5 years and watch porn every week. Because 25% percent of children are under 4.5 years, at least 5%/25%=1/5=20% of children under 4.5 years watch porn every week. See the problem?

The closest thing Bay12 has to a flamewar is an argument over philosophy that slowly transitioned to an argument about quantum mechanics.

The trick is to only make predictions semi-seriously.  That way, I don't have a 98% failure rate. I have a 98% sarcasm rate.

That's a strange application of the pigeonhole principle - on a percentage level the amount of kids takes a continuous value, but when pigeonholing you go back to treating them as discrete entities. I think you're implicitly (accidentally) assuming that the total number of kids is divisible by twenty :D

Oh shit!

Cool on the guy for taking her out on a second date though.

Also, protip on unflushable turds: dump a bucket of water down when you flush. That's what we had to do before we replaced our toilet.

I read the title, and it was mildly humourous. Then I read the subtitle and I cracked up.
