Asol Nog (Seize Foot)

Hmm, my Drogoth and Minothar demonic species have thick gorilla arms and thick knee joints and thick digitigrade feet with their thick joint areas. Should be easy to do pretty much all the moves with those super beings. Still I have trouble getting to fast moving creature like goblins quick enough so just using the shins/hooves/paws to lock their feet is a good idea, something that I just now gave a thought as goblins tend bleed to death way too quick without their legs.

Eh, sorry if I come of as braggy, not the intention at all. Just excited thinking about the amount of damage I can do with my own custom species using the techniques from this thread. Even though a Minothar for example can just get by barely using any techniques but brute force, yet still it is more fun and effective to use the techniques.

In the podcast thing Toady was asked about Kisat Dur, he was like "yeah, ideally you'd hurt your fists punching the bronze colossus" but still aware of our silliness!

So, combat has changed a little bit since this was written. Giving into pain is rarer and the push and pull mechanics have slightly changed the way combat works from an unarmed perspective. I think Kisat Dur could use a little update.

Also punching someone in the head so hard their neck snaps is a handy way around a helmet.

Removing armor became less critical though, since it's more fun to punch and kick and chew through it.

The classic "grabjump" technique remains a staple of my arsenal though. o3o

Pfft, ogres are wussies, these... are the words of a dorf!

I do still dragonfall things all day, but I focus on weapons or necks, riding someone off a cliff into the ground remains fun.

So the impact shock doesn't apply to the attacker yet? Pity. If one punches an iron helmet, one's bones should degrade more rapidly than the helmet. And by degrade, I mean break. Painfully. On the first solid punch.
