Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

That's a pretty dang annoying bug. I modded in a demon civ once, ended up having to abandon because the liaison showed up.

It was pretty cool to look at in Legends though. It's kind of neat to have a demon civ with [TORTURE_X] all turned on and see Dwarves go to war with them over it.

WHY DID YOU HAVE ME KICK THEM WTF I DID NOT WANT TO BE SHOT AT.
I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

Not a bug, actually. That was part of a goblin invasion force.

A cave-in is technically bludgeoning...

I think a cave-in is more of a Dusting.

It's not an embark so much as seven dwarves having a simultaneous strange mood and going off to build an artifact fortress that menaces with spikes of awesome and hanging rings of death.

military woes aside I'm working on build a lighthouse. Nothing fancy, just a vertical tower filled with some lignite on top and I'll figure out lighting it later. Gonna run power up to it soon so that I can do.... something.

It's not dwarven science if you make detailed plans.

Edit: I might install water cannons so as to be able to was invaders into the chasms.

I accidentally connected my fort to the ocean, flooded one level and drowned three dwarves. Then my Internet connection went down so I couldn't post about it. Then I savescummed.

My outpost had a first visit by Uninvited Guest who died mysteriously and left a mountain of meat.

My newest fortress WhiteCastle(Mk II)'s serrated disk traps were showing to be far more effective than I planned.  And I figured out why.

My fortresses usually have a single line of serrated disk traps, with one disk in each.  It's more intended to soften up attackers for my military than to repel attackers by themselves.  But so far those alone have been repelling ambush attackers for 2 years.

My fortress is built next to a waterfall, and I have the moat feeding from the upper river and draining as a second waterfall into the lower river.  Due to the moat being too close to the waterfall the water is only about 4 deep at all times.  And the serrated disks are adjacent to the moat. That ended up being important.

Recently I discovered a large number of goblin and orc corpses at the bottom of the manmade waterfall at the end of the moat.  All in full combat gear.  After a short time puzzling it out I discover what is happening.

The ambushers are crossing the moat to get attacked by the disks.  The skilled goblinoid military is dodging the traps without much difficulty, as expected.  But they are dodging INTO THE MOAT, there the unstable 4/7 water flushes them off of the end of the moat and 5 z-levels to their deaths at the bottom of the waterfall.

I have unintentionally created an automated mega-deathtrap.  I feel all warm and fuzzy now.

I've started a new fort:
You have struck talc!
You have struck bituminous coal!
You have struck magnetite!
You have struck limonite!
You have struck native platinum!
